This is an opportunity to innovate, experiment and help strengthen the reach and impact of journalism that matters to Connecticut communities.

Hybrid: This hybrid role is based in Norwalk, Connecticut and requires working in the office 3 days per week. It is not eligible for remote candidates.

  • Optimize journalism across websites, social media, newsletters and search to expand reach and deepen audience engagement.
  • Use topic-area knowledge and audience insights to identify story opportunities and develop recurring content series and annual special projects.
  • Guide responsible and relevant use of AI and other emerging tools to improve newsroom workflows and audience outcomes.
  • Communicate across departments during breaking and planned news events to alert audiences to key developments across platforms.
  • Support topic teams in planning and executing audience strategies that encourage return visits and subscriber growth.
  • Lead or contribute to livestreams and podcasts that engage and retain audiences, where applicable.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
