The posting

The Global Account Management Team serves as thecentral point of contact for both international key customers (Global &International Accounts) and the sites of Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG and itssubsidiaries. Its primary responsibility is to support customer groups andtheir production facilities in investment decisions across the full productportfolio. A high level of strategic planning, customer coordination, and theprovision of products and services in close cooperation with Heidelberg operatingentities are integral parts of the Global Account Team's responsibilities.

The Business Development Specialist Packagingsupports the identification and evaluation of new business opportunities in thepackaging market. The role includes conducting market and competitive analyses,preparing market and customer insights, and contributing to the development ofbusiness opportunities and customer relationships. Furthermore, the positionsupports strategic and operational business development activities in closecooperation with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement growth and market development strategies.
  • Support the identification of market potential, customer requirements, and business opportunities.
  • Prepare and participate in customer meetings and negotiations.
  • Contribute to the positioning of products and solutions within the packaging market.
  • Prepare business cases, proposals, and contractual documentation.
  • Collaborate and coordinate projects with internal departments.
  • Conduct market and competitive analyses.
  • Support the Global Account and Business Development teams with customer and market analyses.
  • Coordinate activities between the APAC region, Global Accounts, and product divisions.
  • Participate in strategic projects within the packaging business.
  • Monitor market, competitive, and technology trends.

Qualifications andRequirements

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strategic and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Experience in sales or business development.
  • Knowledge of CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Good command of English; additional languages are an advantage.
  • Independent and structured working style.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, International Business, or a related field.
  • Initial professional experience in sales, marketing, business development, or project management would be beneficial.
  • Interest in international markets and strategic business topics.
  • Strong analytical and structured approach to work.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in international teams.
  • Willingness to familiarize oneself with new business areas and customer structures.
