As an Imaging Lab Scientist, you will support the development and execution of digital and physical visualization solutions that enable faster, clearer, and more confident packaging and product decisions across the Kraft Heinz North America portfolio. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality mock-ups, 3D models, 3D-printed parts, printed packaging materials, photography, and product documentation, while partnering with cross-functional teams to provide reliable, timely, and commercially relevant Imaging Lab support. The role also contributes creative problem-solving, concept translation, and innovative visualization approaches that help teams move from early ideas to actionable packaging decisions.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Support execution of Imaging Lab requests by delivering digital and physical mock-ups, 3D models, and 3D-printed outputs that help teams evaluate packaging and product concepts, communicate design intent, and accelerate decision-making
  • Create and produce package and label print outputs across film, carton, adhesive, and related materials to support development, visualization, and business needs
  • Develop and maintain quality guides, including color and defect guides, to support consistent evaluation standards and clear visual references
  • Lead photography and product documentation activities to ensure accurate, high-quality visual records for projects and internal reference needs
  • Operate the Kongsberg cutting table to produce precise physical mock-ups and support efficient execution of Imaging Lab deliverables
  • Serve as a trainer for Kongsberg cutting table use, helping build capability and consistency across users as needed
  • Support 3D modeling and 3D printing activities to create prototypes, concept models, and visualization tools that improve project understanding and development speed
  • Manage multiple requests and projects concurrently across mock-ups, printing, guides, photography, and documentation while meeting agreed timelines and quality expectations
  • Partner directly with cross-functional stakeholders including R&D, Marketing, Sales, Packaging Development, and external vendors to clarify needs, translate concepts into actionable visualization solutions, and deliver fit-for-purpose outputs
  • Support early-stage concept development by helping teams convert ideas into practical visual, digital, or physical outputs that improve project understanding and decision-making

  • Contribute innovative thinking and creative problem-solving to improve mock-up approaches, workflow execution, and the overall effectiveness of Imaging Lab support
  • Support improvements in request intake, workflow coordination, and execution reliability to strengthen service levels and reduce errors or rework
  • Maintain organized files, production records, and documentation to support continuity, traceability, and efficient handoffs
  • Support safe, organized, and effective Imaging Lab operations through proper equipment use, adherence to lab procedures, and coordination of day-to-day execution needs

Expected Experience & Required Skills

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Packaging, Graphic Communications, Design, or a related technical discipline, with 2+ years of relevant experience; advanced degree is preferred.
  • Experience supporting digital and physical mock-up development, 3D modeling, 3D printing, package and label printing, photography, and product documentation in a lab, studio, or technical service environment
  • Working knowledge of print production processes across film, carton, adhesive, and related packaging materials
  • Experience developing or supporting visual quality standards such as color guides, defect guides, or comparable reference materials
  • Demonstrated ability to operate technical production equipment, including cutting and mock-up systems such as the Kongsberg cutting table
  • Experience with 3D modeling and prototyping tools, and the ability to create practical models or printed outputs that support packaging visualization and concept development
  • Ability to train others on equipment use and support consistent execution of lab workflows
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple requests, timelines, and priorities with accuracy and responsiveness
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional partners and external suppliers to clarify needs and translate ideas into effective visualization solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to document work clearly, maintain consistency in execution, and deliver outputs with quality and timeliness
  • Experience translating early-stage concepts into practical digital or physical visualization outputs that support project development and decision-making
  • Demonstrated creativity and innovation in solving visualization, mock-up, prototyping, or packaging-related challenges, with the ability to suggest new approaches that improve execution or project outcomes
  • Knowledge of packaging materials, visualization methods, mock-up production workflows, 3D printing processes, and emerging digital tools or AI-enabled creative workflows is a plus
  • Willingness and ability to support hands-on lab and production activities as required

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
