Junior Java Developer

Fresh Graduates Welcome

About the Role

We are looking for a Junior Java Developer to support the development, testing and maintenance of Java applications. You will work alongside experienced developers, business analysts and testers to deliver reliable software solutions.

Fresh graduates with Java coursework, academic projects or internship experience are welcome to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing, testing and maintaining Java-based applications.
  • Write clean, efficient and well-documented code with guidance from senior developers.
  • Investigate defects and support bug fixes and application enhancements.
  • Work with business analysts and testers to clarify requirements and validate functionality.
  • Participate in code reviews and team discussions.
  • Prepare technical documentation and unit test cases.
  • Follow development standards and learn new tools and technologies.

Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Fresh graduate to two years of Java development experience.
  • Basic knowledge of Core Java, including object-oriented programming, Collections and exception handling.
  • Understanding of SQL and relational databases, such as MySQL, Oracle or SQL Server.
  • Good analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and willingness to learn.

Added Advantage

Familiarity with Spring or Spring Boot.

Experience using Git.

Exposure to REST APIs and unit testing.

Java development experience gained through internships, coursework or personal projects.
