The posting

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain backend microservices using Java 17+ and Spring Boot.
  • Design, develop and secure RESTful APIs using OpenAPI / Swagger specifications.
  • Analyse and migrate legacy J2EE applications into modern microservices architecture.
  • Integrate backend services with credit bureau, credit decisioning, core banking and digital identity platforms.
  • Work with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MariaDB and Oracle.
  • Implement event-driven applications using Apache Kafka.
  • Develop automated unit and integration tests using JUnit 5 and Mockito.
  • Deploy, monitor and troubleshoot applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, Frontend Developers and QA teams in an Agile environment.
  • Ensure application performance, security, scalability and code quality.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of backend development experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience in Java (11/17/21) and Spring Boot.
  • Good experience developing RESTful APIs and microservices.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
  • Practical experience with Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes / OpenShift.
  • Knowledge of JUnit, Mockito, Postman and automated testing.
  • Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments.
  • Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
