We’re currently looking for a Part Time Nanny in Chevy Chase, MD 20815

A kind and organized family in the Rock Creek Park area of Chevy Chase, MD, near Candy Cane Playground, is seeking a reliable, communicative, and proactive part-time nanny for their three boys, ages 9, 11, and 14. Both parents work from home, and the boys stay busy with school activities, tutors, sports, and social engagements. The family is looking for someone who can help maintain their organized after-school routine while providing a supportive and structured environment

  • Start date: ASAP
  • Length of Position: Long term, minimum 1 year
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 3pm-7pm; 20 hours per week
  • Compensation: $30 per hourOccasional opportunities for additional hours a few times per month when parents travel for work and may return home later due to flight schedules Additional hours are completely optional and not required for the position

Responsibilities

  • Complete one load of family laundry daily, including folding and putting away clothes
  • Drive children to and from after-school activities (gas reimbursement provided; some carpooling involved)
  • Prepare snacks/dinner; empty and clean lunch boxes
  • Maintain and follow the family's organized after-school schedule
  • Light tidying and household upkeep related to the children
  • Homework help/reminders for youngest child

Requirements

  • Must have 2 years of childcare experience as a babysitter, nanny, or in a daycare setting
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Able to provide 2 childcare-related references
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and valid auto insurance
  • Reliable vehicle to transport children
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with parents who work from home

Compensation

This position pays $30 per hour, with gas reimbursement provided for child-related transportation. The family also offers opportunities to earn additional income through occasional extended hours when parents travel for work. These opportunities may arise a few times per month and are entirely optional, and not required for the Part Time Nanny position.
