The posting
Responsibilities
- Perform technical verification, testing, and validation of electronic security systems and related hardware components used in surveillance, access-control, alarm, and security-monitoring applications, where applicable to the company's projects.
- Develop and maintain structured test plans, test procedures, and verification documentation to assess the functional performance, reliability, and interoperability of security-system components.
- Develop reusable test environments and automated test cases using SystemVerilog, UVM, C, C++, and Python, where programmable hardware or embedded electronic components require verification.
- Conduct interface and communication verification for applicable system interfaces, including UART, I2C, SPI, Ethernet, and other supported communication protocols, to assess data transmission and device interoperability.
- Develop verification checkers, assertions, scoreboards, and reference models to validate system behaviour, identify functional discrepancies, and verify data integrity.
- Perform simulation, regression testing, and functional coverage analysis to identify potential hardware and interface issues before system deployment or integration.
- Analyse test failures, review simulation waveforms, and conduct root-cause investigations to identify defects affecting the functionality or reliability of security-related electronic equipment.
- Collaborate with project engineers, system integrators, equipment suppliers, and technical personnel to investigate technical issues and support the integration, testing, and commissioning of relevant security systems.
- Support the evaluation and troubleshooting of electronic security equipment, including applicable surveillance and access-control components, using appropriate testing instruments, diagnostic tools, and technical documentation.
- Prepare technical reports, verification records, test results, defect logs, and system validation documents to support project quality assurance and maintenance activities.
- Develop and maintain standardised testing procedures and technical documentation to improve consistency, traceability, and efficiency in security-system verification and troubleshooting.
- Provide technical guidance and knowledge-sharing sessions to relevant engineering and technical teams on verification procedures, testing methodologies, and identified system issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical and Electronic Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in hardware verification, electronic system testing, embedded-system validation, or a related engineering field.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of SystemVerilog, UVM, testbench development, verification planning, constrained-random testing, and automated test development.
- Experience developing test plans, functional test cases, assertions, scoreboards, reference models, and coverage models to validate electronic hardware functionality.
- Practical experience in simulation, regression testing, debugging, waveform analysis, and verification closure using tools such as Synopsys VCS, Synopsys Verdi, Cadence Xcelium, or equivalent platforms.
- Knowledge of electronic communication interfaces and protocols, including UART, I2C, SPI, Ethernet, AXI, and APB.
- Proficiency in Python, C, C++, or other relevant programming and scripting languages for test automation and technical analysis.
- Experience in electronic hardware integration, interface validation, system troubleshooting, and technical documentation.
- Ability to analyse technical problems systematically, identify root causes, and work collaboratively with engineering, technical support, and system-integration teams.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare technical reports and communicate verification findings to relevant stakeholders.
- Willingness to support project-related testing, troubleshooting, equipment validation, and technical activities in accordance with the company's operational requirements.
