Henry Ford Macomb Hospital offers a fast-paced yet community-focused environment for Medical Laboratory Scientists, with a high volume of general testing. MLS professionals rotate through all departments to maintain competency across the lab, working within a strong team dynamic that fosters close collaboration with healthcare providers, including ER and outpatient teams. Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with coursework aligned to Medical Laboratory disciplineOR Certification as a BB, C, CG, CT, M, MB OR meets AAB/AMT certification requirements.
- Six months of experience in a medical laboratory setting.
- Demonstrated technical proficiency and theoretical knowledge sufficient to perform laboratory functions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification at the technologist or medical/clinical lab scientist level from a nationally recognized agency (e.g., ASCP, AMT, ASM, AAB, AABB, ACS, or HEW).
