Herent is een bruisende gemeente in de provincie Vlaams-Brabant, met ruim 23.000 inwoners. Kwalitatieve en klantgerichte dienstverlening dragen we hoog in het vaandel. Om onze werking verder te versterken, zoekt de dienst omgevingsbeleid vandaag een nieuwe collega. Je denkt strategisch. Je brengt mensen samen. En je wil werken voor een gemeente die vooruit wil. Wat zal je doen in deze job?

Als diensthoofd omgevingsbeleid sta je aan het hoofd van een veelzijdige beleidsdienst binnen de sector Ruimte. Je geeft leiding aan je team en zorgt ervoor dat de dienstverlening en beleidsdoelstellingen binnen de domeinen milieu en duurzaamheid, wonen, mobiliteit, lokale economie, landbouw en toerisme gerealiseerd worden. Je staat onder meer in voor:

  • het plannen, organiseren en coördineren van de dagelijkse werking van de dienst;
  • het coachen, motiveren en ontwikkelen van medewerkers;
  • het vertalen van beleidsdoelstellingen naar concrete acties, projecten en resultaten;
  • het ontwikkelen en formuleren van adviezen en beleidsvoorstellen voor bestuur;
  • het opmaken en opvolgen van budgetten en meerjarenplanning;
  • het bewaken en optimaliseren van processen en dienstverlening;
  • het uitbouwen van sterke samenwerkingen met interne en externe partners.

Wie ben jij?

  • Je beschikt over een masterdiploma, of over een diploma van het universitair onderwijs of een diploma van het hoger onderwijs van twee cycli dat gelijkgesteld werd met universitair onderwijs.
  • Indien je niet over het gevraagde diploma beschikt, geen probleem, dan kan je toch tot de selectieprocedure worden toegelaten, op voorwaarde dat je: een diploma in een richting met betrekking tot één of meerdere van de beleidsdomeinen (milieu en duurzaamheid, wonen, mobiliteit, lokale economie, landbouw en toerisme) behaalde, én slaagt voor een online capaciteitstest, afgestemd op het vereiste functieniveau.
  • Je hebt kennis van de geldende wetgeving en je hebt een grondige interesse in en affiniteit met de beleidsdomeinen van de dienst omgevingsbeleid.
  • Bij voorkeur heb je minstens drie jaar ervaring in één of meerdere beleidsdomeinen (leefmilieu en duurzaamheid, lokaal woonbeleid, mobiliteit, lokale economie, landbouw en/of toerisme).
  • Je bent een verbindende leidinggevende die medewerkers coacht, aanstuurt en motiveert.
  • Je stimuleert samenwerking tussen diensten en creëert draagvlak voor nieuwe processen en werkwijzen.
  • Probleemanalyses uitvoeren en projectmatig werken spreken jou aan.
