The posting

Het Balanske is een vergunde zorgaanbieder, erkend door het Vlaams Agentschap voor Personen met een Handicap (VAPH). De werking van de organisatie is gericht op personen met een beperking én hun context, en bestaat uit vier pijlers: er is een ruim vrijetijdsaanbod via het vrijetijdszorgcentrum, er wordt zinvolle dagbesteding aangeboden in dagcentrum de Kalebas en koffie- en lunchbar BarKans, er wordt begeleid en in groep samengewoond in Villa84 en er is mobiele ondersteuning voor gezinnen via de thuisoppasdienst UiThuis. De vacature betreft de coördinatorrol bij deze laatste pijler.

Met UiThuis organiseert Het Balanske professionele thuisoppas voor kinderen, jongeren en (in mindere mate) volwassenen met een beperking, met als hoofddoel hun zorgfiguren en andere gezinsleden de nodige ademruimte en respijt te bieden. Tijdens de oppasmomenten staat het welzijn van de persoon met een beperking centraal; de begeleider in kwestie biedt meer dan louter opvang, hij/zij stimuleert de ontwikkeling van het kind/de jongere, op maat van diens noden en mogelijkheden. Hij/zij is daarnaast aanspreekpunt voor de zorgfiguren en maakt ruimte voor pedagogische ondersteuning. Tot slot voorziet het team van UiThuis in outreachende ondersteuning naar de reguliere sector toe, zodat – voor die gezinnen waar een oppasmoment ingevuld kan worden met vrijwilligers – de reguliere sector versterkt wordt en de handicapspecifieke zorg niet overbelast wordt (deze blijft zo beschikbaar voor wie het echt niet anders kan).

UiThuis startte als pilootproject binnen Rechtstreeks Toegankelijke Hulpverlening (RTH). Intussen is de werking uitgegroeid tot een volwaardige, erkende dienst die organisatiebreed een belangrijke plaats inneemt. Jaarlijks worden een veertigtal gezinnen tweemaal per maand begeleid door UiThuis.

We zoeken een betrokken en organisatorisch sterke collega die zich herkent in volgende omschrijving:

  • Je beschikt minimaal over een bachelordiploma in een orthopedagogische of sociale richting.
  • Je bent sterk in plannen, organiseren en administratief opvolgen. Je werkt nauwkeurig en houdt overzicht, ook wanneer verschillende zaken tegelijk aandacht vragen.
  • Je kan zelfstandig werken, neemt initiatief en denkt oplossingsgericht.
  • Je hebt sterke communicatieve en gaat op een respectvolle manier om met gezinnen, collega's en samenwerkingspartners.
  • Je hebt oog voor de noden van personen met een beperking en hun gezinnen en gelooft in ondersteuning op maat.
  • Je hebt een verbindende leiderschapsstijl en sterke coachende vaardigheden.
  • Je werkt graag samen en draagt bij aan een team waarin collegialiteit, betrokkenheid en kwaliteit centraal staan.
  • Je kan zowel praktisch en hands-on werken als op een meer conceptueel niveau meedenken over de werking.
