Role Overview

Are you passionate about power systems automation and the engineering behind mission-critical electrical infrastructure?

We are looking for an experienced SCADA & Automation Engineer to contribute to the design, configuration and integration of Substation Automation Systems (SAS) for medium- and high-voltage substations supporting data centre and industrial projects across Scandinavia.

You will work with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop reliable, secure and standards-compliant automation solutions, with particular emphasis on IEC 61850, GOOSE messaging, IED integration and SCADA communication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design robust and reliable SAS architectures, including communication networks and system topology for HV/MV substations.
  • Engineer and configure IEC 61850 communication systems, SCL files, GOOSE messaging and IED interfaces.
  • Integrate protection and control devices with SCADA platforms, RTUs and communication gateways.
  • Support OT cybersecurity requirements and ensure compliance with relevant engineering standards.
  • Contribute to FAT/SAT activities, commissioning, technical documentation and multidisciplinary engineering reviews.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Excellent written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate effectively in international engineering environments.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in substation automation, SCADA or protection and control engineering for HV/MV substations.
  • Hands-on experience with IEC 61850, GOOSE messaging, SCL configuration, IED integration and SCADA communication protocols.
  • Experience with relevant engineering tools such as PCM600, DIGSI 5, IET600 or equivalent, combined with strong technical problem-solving and teamwork skills.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.
