The posting

Purpose of the job   The Regional Account Director for APAC is responsible for leading and developing HH Global’s regional partnership with our Consumer Electronic Client across APAC, with an initial focus on Japan, Korea and Australia, and a mandate to support future expansion into additional APAC markets. This role is critical in strengthening HH Global’s strategic relationship with client, ensuring that regional marketing operations, retail execution and in-store marketing solutions are delivered to the highest standard, on time, and in line with agreed operational, commercial and client objectives. The RAD will act as a senior regional partner to Client and a key leadership point within the HH Global account structure, translating Client’s regional and market requirements into clear account plans, effective operational delivery, and scalable solutions across APAC. The role will require close partnership with the Global Account Director (GAD) to ensure regional activity is fully aligned to the global Client account strategy, governance model and commercial priorities. The RAD will provide leadership to the APAC account team, including AMs and ADs supporting Japan, Korea and Australia, with responsibility for setting regional direction, supporting performance, driving consistency across markets, and ensuring the team is equipped to deliver against Client’s expectations. The role requires a strong leader who can balance day-to-day client support with longer-term regional strategy, bringing together commercial acumen, operational excellence, innovation and team leadership.   Key Responsibilities Regional Account Strategy and Growth

Create, lead and deliver HH Global’s APAC regional account strategy for Client, aligned to the global account plan and the direction set by the GAD. Own the development of the existing APAC market portfolio, with specific focus on Japan, Korea and Australia, ensuring each market has clear priorities, delivery standards and growth plans. Identify and support opportunities for expansion into new APAC markets, ensuring any new market activity is commercially viable, operationally scalable and aligned with Client’s requirements. Build and maintain high-quality regional account plans that reflect Client’s business priorities, market dynamics, operational needs and future growth opportunities. Identify new business opportunities within the Client APAC relationship and take responsibility for converting those opportunities into sustainable account growth. Provide strategic insight and recommendations to Client and internal HH Global stakeholders, using market knowledge, operational performance and commercial data to support decision-making.

Stakeholder Management

Develop strong, trusted relationships with senior Client stakeholders across APAC, including regional and market-level business leads, decision makers and operational contacts. Act as a senior regional point of contact for Client, ensuring the client receives clear communication, proactive issue resolution and consistent account leadership across Japan, Korea, Australia and future APAC markets. Partner with Client stakeholders to understand changing business needs, market priorities and campaign requirements, then translate these into effective solutions and delivery plans. Produce high-quality client communications, including strategic reports, business updates, account relationship plans, MI reporting and QBR materials suitable for senior client audiences. Ensure that Client receives a consistent, high-standard service experience across APAC, while allowing for appropriate market nuance and local operational requirements.

Operational Delivery

Lead the regional operational delivery model for Client across APAC, ensuring that work is planned, produced and executed to agreed timelines, quality standards and commercial parameters. Oversee delivery across key categories including in-store temporary POS, window installation, retail environments, and, where required, permanent and semi-permanent retail fixtures and installations. Ensure the APAC team delivers practical, high-quality solutions that meet Client’s expectations and support the client’s regional marketing and retail objectives. Drive consistency in ways of working across Japan, Korea and Australia, while ensuring delivery models remain appropriate for each market. Shape and refine the regional operating model across ideation, sourcing, procurement, production and execution of Client projects. Work closely with internal production, procurement, creative, implementation and market teams to ensure seamless delivery and effective escalation management. Ensure all account activity is managed in line with HH Global policies, procedures and contractual responsibilities.

Commercial Accountability

Manage the regional commercial performance of the Client APAC account, ensuring financial targets, operational performance and profitability are actively monitored and managed. Maintain strong oversight of budgets, costs, hours, risk, margin and commercial exposure across the APAC region. Identify risks early and implement appropriate corrective actions, escalating where needed through the GAD and relevant senior stakeholders. Evaluate spend, production models and operational approaches to maximise value for Client while ensuring HH Global delivers commercially sustainable solutions. Ensure account activity is reconciled accurately and managed profitably, with clear reporting and governance around financial performance. Use operational, financial, spend and product data to identify trends, support recommendations and improve decision-making across the account.

Leadership, Team Management and Matrix Working

Provide regional leadership for the APAC Client account team, including AMs and ADs supporting Japan, Korea and Australia. Assume line management responsibility for relevant APAC account team members, while operating in close matrix alignment with the GAD to ensure consistency with the global Client account strategy. Set clear expectations for the regional team, including service standards, commercial discipline, client communication, escalation management and delivery quality. Train, mentor and develop the Account Management team, creating a strong culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement. Drive performance accountability across the team, ensuring individuals understand their responsibilities and are supported to deliver a superior client service experience. Ensure the APAC account is appropriately resourced, with staffing plans that anticipate market demands, seasonal peaks, campaign requirements and future expansion. Maintain effective two-way communication between market teams, regional leadership, the GAD and wider HH Global support functions. Build a collaborative matrix environment where local market knowledge, regional leadership and global account governance work together effectively.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement

Drive innovation and product development across the Client APAC account, bringing forward solutions that enhance retail environments, improve execution and create value for Client. Continuously review and improve creative, production and operational solutions to ensure they remain efficient, effective and aligned to Client’s evolving needs. Encourage the APAC team to challenge existing ways of working and identify improvements in process, quality, speed, sustainability of delivery and commercial value. Work with internal specialists and market teams to bring high-quality, world-class solutions to Client across APAC. Support the development of scalable delivery models that can be applied consistently across Japan, Korea, Australia and future APAC markets.

Significant experience in strategic regional account management, ideally supporting large global clients with complex operating models. Proven experience developing and nurturing senior client relationships, with the ability to build trust and influence across multiple stakeholder groups. Strong experience working across APAC markets, with a clear understanding of the operational complexity involved in managing distributed teams, multiple market stakeholders and differing local delivery requirements. Experience managing or supporting activity across Japan, Korea and Australia would be highly advantageous. Demonstrable ability to develop and implement clear regional account plans that align with global account strategy and local market priorities. Strong understanding of outsourced procurement solutions for marketing execution. Strong knowledge of the development and production of print, POS, in-store marketing materials, retail environments, and ideally permanent or semi-permanent retail fixtures and installations. Proven commercial management capability, including experience managing account profitability, budgets, costs, risk and financial reporting. Ability to analyse complex operational, financial, spend and product data, and turn that analysis into clear client-facing insight and actionable recommendations. Experience leading distributed account teams across multiple markets, including line management, coaching, mentoring and performance management. Strong matrix management capability, with the ability to work effectively across regional teams, market teams, central support functions and global account leadership. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to produce high-quality client materials and present confidently to senior stakeholders. A strategic, entrepreneurial and innovative mindset, with the ability to balance long-term account development with hands-on operational delivery. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm, structured and solution-focused in a fast-moving client environment. Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly for client reporting, presentations, MI and account planning. Willingness to travel within APAC markets and occasionally outside the region as required by the account.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
