Overnight Nurse Tech (CNA) – Hillcrest Shadow Lake Location: Papillion, NEService Line: Hillcrest Shadow LakeSchedule: Overnights | 10:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m. Hillcrest Health & Living is looking for compassionate, dependable, and team-focused Nurse Techs (CNAs) to join the overnight team at Hillcrest Shadow Lake in Papillion. Hillcrest Shadow Lake provides a welcoming senior living environment where residents are supported with dignity, respect, and personalized care. As a Nurse Tech, you’ll play an important role in helping residents feel safe, comfortable, and supported throughout the night. What You’ll Do As a Nurse Tech, you’ll work closely with nurses and other team members to provide person-centered care and support throughout the overnight shift. You will:
Assist residents with toileting, hygiene, repositioning, dressing, and other activities of daily living. Help with transfers, ambulation, and mobility as needed. Respond promptly to call lights and requests for assistance. Obtain and document vital signs as directed. Observe residents for changes in condition, behavior, comfort, or mobility. Communicate changes or concerns promptly to the nurse. Support nighttime routines and help residents remain comfortable and safe. Assist with hydration, snacks, and other individual needs. Encourage residents to maintain as much independence as possible. Follow individualized care plans and resident preferences. Complete required documentation accurately and timely. Maintain resident privacy, dignity, safety, and confidentiality. Follow infection-control and safe resident-handling procedures. Communicate positively with residents, families, nurses, and fellow team members. Help maintain a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment. Jump in and help wherever needed to keep the overnight shift running smoothly.
What We’re Looking For We’re looking for Nurse Techs who are dependable, attentive, and comfortable working during the overnight hours. The right candidate will be someone who can stay focused, notice changes, respond calmly when needs arise, and provide residents with the reassurance and support they need throughout the night. Ideal candidates will have:
A compassionate and respectful approach to resident care. A calm, dependable, and attentive personality. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. A genuine interest in working with aging adults. Ability to recognize and report changes in condition. Strong attention to safety and individual care needs. Ability to work independently while still being a strong team member. Good judgment and critical-thinking skills. Dependability and consistent follow-through. Comfort using electronic documentation and other healthcare technology. A willingness to help wherever needed.
Education & Credentials
Completion of an approved Nursing Assistant course required. Active Nebraska CNA certification required. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Basic Life Support/CPR certification required or must be obtained within Hillcrest’s established timeframe. Previous CNA, senior living, assisted living, long-term care, post-acute, or similar experience preferred.

Physical & Other Requirements
Must be able to speak, read, and write English. Must be able to safely assist residents with activities of daily living, transfers, mobility, and personal care. Must be able to perform repetitive standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, and movement throughout the shift. Must be able to remain flexible and calm when supporting residents, families, and team members. Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced care environment. Must be able to utilize electronic documentation systems and other healthcare technology. Must follow established infection-control, safety, and care procedures. Possible exposure to communicable diseases and bodily fluids. Other duties as assigned.
