Position Summary:

To assist in achievement of the company’s strategic objective and annual goals through the delivery of exceptional service and support reflective of Hiller Plumbing Heating Cooling and Electrical (the Company) vision, mission, purpose, and values to be America’s Best.

Responsibilities:

  • Create a care culture.
  • Create a positive experience for customers and team members.
  • Responsible for accurately reconciling monthly statements
  • Assist with company fuel cards.
  • Receive and review invoices from vendors, matching them to purchase orders and verifying accuracy of details (i.e., pricing, quantities, descriptions).
  • Reconcile vendor statements with the Company’s accounting records to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Regularly review accounts payable balances and ensure they are accurate and reflect all outstanding invoices.
  • Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payment status and account balances.
  • Accurately process invoices, work with vendors, as necessary.
  • Prepare accounts payable reports for management review, including aging reports and outstanding balances.
  • Assist with billing and other job duties as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years accounts payable experience.
  • Experience working with multiple site locations preferred.
  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to excel.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Possess good analytical skills.
  • Must be highly organized with good attention to detail and follow through.
  • Must have strong computer skills and the ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to participate in a team environment.
  • Must always be professional.
  • Must have the ability to meet deadlines.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time (approximately 80%) working on computers and analyzing report data.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Occasionally lift 5-10 pounds.
  • Have good visual acuity.
  • Occasionally bend or reach to maintain files.

Position Specific Standards:

  • Maintain confidentiality on all private, sensitive, and proprietary Company issues and concerns.
  • Always maintain a professional image by wearing company approved apparel.
  • Always maintain a professional and courteous demeanor with customers and associates.
  • Abide by all Company standards of performance, ethics, and integrity.
  • Willing to continue training for personal growth as well as participate in the training of new employees.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry emerging standards and trends to ensure Company maintains compliance.
  • Stay abreast of new and existing Company products, services, systems, policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Proactively address and resolve all business issues and or concerns.
  • Follow all safety protocols, policies, and procedures.
  • Willing to work hours outside of a normal work schedule, as needed.
