Job Summary The Manufacturing Production Technician I is responsible for performing basic production operations in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment. This position operates entry-level production equipment, handles raw materials and finished goods, performs visual quality inspections, and supports the manufacturing processes used to produce load-bearing chain and fitting products. The role requires a strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement while learning the technical skills necessary for career growth within the operation. Essential Job Functions*
Operate basic equipment such as presses, cutters, tumblers, or assembly stations. Handle raw materials such as steel bars, wire, or forged components. Perform simple forming, cutting, or finishing operations following work instructions.
Follow established work instructions, safety procedures, and quality standards.
Load and unload materials and finished products.
Perform visual and basic dimensional inspections to ensure product quality.
Monitor equipment performance and notify supervisors of issues.
Maintain production records and documentation as required.
Support housekeeping and 5S activities to maintain an organized work environment.
Work safely around industrial equipment and machinery.
Collaborate with team members to achieve production and quality goals.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent. 0-1 years of manufacturing, warehouse, industrial, or related experience.
Competencies – Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of basic metal manufacturing processes (cutting, forming, finishing) required to support production of chain and fittings. Ability to follow detailed work instructions related to load-bearing product manufacturing and traceability. Skill in safely handling raw materials, including steel components with weight or heat exposure risks. Ability to perform visual inspections to identify cracks, bends, or coating defects. Knowledge of safety practices for heavy industrial environments, including PPE and hazard awareness. Ability to maintain accurate production and material traceability records. Ability to complete repetitive tasks consistently while maintaining product quality standards.
