The posting

We're looking for a Construction Accountant with commercial electrical estimating experience to support a fast-moving construction management firm operating across 15 or more states. The primary focus of this role is commercial electrical estimation and take-offs, with additional responsibility across project administration and accounting support. You will work closely with project managers, field operations, vendors, and company leadership to keep bids, projects, and financials organized and accurate.

Foundation ERP experience is a hard requirement for this role. Candidates without hands-on Foundation ERP experience will not be considered regardless of other qualifications. If you have commercial electrical estimating experience, are proficient in Foundation ERP, and can manage the administrative and accounting work that keeps a construction operation running cleanly, this role is a strong fit.

Why You'll Want to Join

  • You will be paid in USD (bi-monthly: every 15th and 30th)
  • Paid Time Off in accordance with company policy
  • Observance of Holidays per company guidelines
  • 100% remote setup so you can work wherever you're most productive
  • This role requires availability during US business hours
  • Work inside a growing construction management firm with institutional-grade clients and a multi-state project portfolio
  • High-ownership role with direct impact on bid accuracy, project coordination, and financial reporting quality

What You'll Work On

Commercial Electrical Estimation

  • Perform commercial electrical quantity take-offs from construction drawings and specifications
  • Assist with preparing and organizing bid packages for commercial electrical projects
  • Review plans and specs to identify scope, materials, labor, and cost inputs for estimates
  • Maintain organized estimate files, bid logs, and supporting documentation
  • Coordinate with project managers and estimators to ensure bids are accurate, complete, and submitted on time
  • Track bid results and assist with post-bid analysis and follow-up

Project and Administrative Support

  • Provide administrative and coordination support to project managers and company leadership across active projects
  • Assist with new project setup and maintain accurate project information within Foundation ERP
  • Maintain organized electronic project files and supporting documentation
  • Create and maintain project, work order, and job tracking logs
  • Assist with purchase order creation, tracking, and vendor coordination
  • Track project-related invoices, purchase orders, material purchases, and other job documentation
  • Follow up on outstanding administrative items to help keep projects moving

Accounting Support

  • Enter vendor invoices and routine accounting transactions in Foundation ERP
  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
  • Prepare and enter customer billing and apply customer payments
  • Review invoices for proper job and cost-code allocation
  • Enter and maintain job-cost information and assist with cost transfers and corrections
  • Reconcile vendor statements and research discrepancies
  • Assist with preparation of job-cost, billing, AP/AR, and other internal financial reports

What You Bring

  • Hands-on experience with commercial electrical estimation and take-offs — this is the primary focus of the role
  • Foundation ERP experience is a hard requirement — candidates without Foundation ERP proficiency will not be considered
  • Prior experience in construction project administration, coordination, or accounting
  • Experience with AP, AR, billing, purchase orders, and job costing in a construction environment
  • Strong Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft 365 skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously without losing track of open items
  • Self-directed with the ability to independently follow up on outstanding items and see tasks through to completion

Nice to Have

  • Electrical or specialty subcontractor experience beyond estimating
  • Background supporting distributed or multi-state construction project portfolios
  • Familiarity with construction takeoff software such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar tools
  • Experience with job costing, cost code structures, and construction billing workflows

How to Apply

Please include:

  1. Your updated resume
  2. A short Loom video (1 to 2 minutes) introducing yourself, describing your commercial electrical estimating and Foundation ERP experience, and walking through how you approach a take-off from drawings through to a completed estimate

Only candidates who submit a Loom video will be moved to the next step of the hiring process.

If you have commercial electrical estimating experience, are proficient in Foundation ERP, and want to own both the bid preparation and the operational support that keeps a construction management firm running cleanly across a multi-state portfolio, this role gives you the ownership and the direct impact to do your best work.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
