About the role:

We are seeking a Senior Technical Product Manager to lead the delivery of an enterprise AI knowledge and data platform for a premier engineering client. In this role, you will bridge technical solutioning with hands-on delivery execution: partnering with leadership to scope Statements of Work (SOWs), authoring clear technical requirements, running sprint cadences with backend and AI engineers, and steering core API integrations between our AI platform and external client systems.

What you will own:

  • SOW Scoping & Authoring: Partner with practice leadership and client stakeholders to identify upcoming work streams, define scope, and author clear, technically viable SOW drafts.
  • Delivery & Sprint Execution: Own the delivery lifecycle post-signature. Translate SOW objectives into epics, technical specs, user stories, and strict acceptance criteria while managing day-to-day sprint velocity.
  • Stakeholder & Scope Governance: Act as the primary technical counterpart for client engineering leads. Navigate scope evolution, govern change requests, and maintain clear delivery roadmaps.
  • Backend & API Integration Oversight: Steer the interface between core AI knowledge systems and client software platforms, ensuring reliable API contracts, data fidelity, and low-latency query performance.
  • Delivery Rhythms: Establish delivery visibility, milestones, tracking dashboards, and lightweight agile rituals across the engineering pod.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead Day-to-Day Engineering Execution: Run agile ceremonies—backlog grooming, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives—unblocking backend and AI engineers to keep delivery on schedule.
  • Author Technical Requirements: Write detailed requirements, system workflows, API contracts, and QA/acceptance criteria for backend-heavy data ingestion, model retrieval, and third-party software integration.
  • Govern Scope with Rigor: Proactively identify delivery drift; triage and negotiate client change requests with diplomatic firmness to protect timelines and quality.
  • Identify Account Expansion: Bring a consulting mindset to client interactions, identifying operational bottlenecks and framing follow-on technical SOWs.
  • Facilitate Technical Alignment: Run high-impact client working sessions, lead technical demos, and deliver structured status updates to client leadership.

Required experience:

  • 8+ Years in Technical Product Management: Proven background as a Senior, Principal, or Staff TPM delivering complex backend, platform, or data-infrastructure systems.
  • Relentless Project Management & Detail: Strong, hands-on experience driving day-to-day agile execution, milestone tracking, and rigorous acceptance testing.
  • SOW & Commercial Scope Governance: Demonstrated experience scoping engagements, authoring SOWs, breaking down contract deliverables into technical tasks, and managing client change requests.
  • Backend & AI Technical Literacy: Solid understanding of API design (REST/gRPC), JSON schemas, data pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and modern AI/LLM retrieval architectures (semantic search, embeddings, vector databases).
  • Flawless Verbal & Written Communication: Professional, near-native or native English fluency; capable of independently leading technical working sessions with executive client stakeholders.
  • Regulated or High-Security Domain Experience: Prior experience delivering software within GovTech/defense, fintech, healthcare, or similar environments with strict data security and compliance requirements.

Bonus qualifications:

  • Consulting Background: Prior experience in technology consulting or professional client-services delivery.
  • Systems Engineering / Complex Modeling Tooling: Experience integrating with enterprise modeling, CAD, or engineering data systems (e.g., SysML, Cameo).
  • Practice-Building: Experience establishing project management processes, KPIs, and reporting dashboards from scratch.
