In this role, you will transform ideas into industrialized products, working across the full product development lifecycle from concept design and engineering validation to qualification and market introduction. You'll collaborate with talented colleagues in a global environment, contribute to cutting-edge R&D initiatives, and help deliver reliable, sustainable solutions for customers worldwide. Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.

This is an exciting opportunity for a technically curious and collaborative engineering professional who thrives on innovation, enjoys solving complex challenges, and wants to make a meaningful impact on the future of power infrastructure. You'll work with advanced engineering tools, engage with international teams, and influence the development of next-generation high-voltage products while continuing to grow your expertise and career.

How you'll make an impact

  • Design new high-voltage bushings and transformer components from concept through industrialization.
  • Develop and maintain 3D CAD models, assemblies, detailed drawings, and engineering documentation.
  • Define mechanical layouts, component interfaces, insulation structures, and technical specifications.
  • Support feasibility studies, concept evaluations, and technology development activities.
  • Manage product structures, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and engineering data within PLM systems.
  • Support prototype manufacturing, product testing, qualification programs, and design validation activities.
  • Analyze test results and implement product improvements to enhance performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with global R&D teams to deliver project objectives related to scope, schedule, quality, and cost.

Your background

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Proven experience designing and developing high-voltage insulation components, preferably bushings.
  • Strong proficiency in 3D CAD design tools, with Creo experience highly valued.
  • Solid understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with simulation tools such as Ansys is preferred.
  • Knowledge of IEC, IEEE, and product qualification standards, along with strong teamwork, problem-solving, and project execution skills.

More about us

  • At Hitachi Energy, you'll be part of a global technology leader advancing a sustainable energy future for all.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
