The posting

THE JOB

Reporting to Accounting Officer (ACO), the Part-time Accounting Officer will be responsible for the following duties of the cost centres assigned:

  • Process payments, prepare payment vouchers and dispatch cheques to ensure that transactions are in accordance with the financial procedures;
  • Process advance payments and final settlements of overseas duty travel expenses;
  • Issue debit notes for billing requests;
  • Handle daily collection, cash count and reconciliation of the daily collection;
  • Handle petty cash disbursement, replenishment and journal preparation;
  • Maintain creditors accounts, debtors accounts and other funding accounts of the respective user departments;
  • Prepare for month-end journals and bank reconciliations;
  • Assist ACO in preparing for regular and month-end analysis and reports to user departments;
  • Maintain proper filing of accounting records; and
  • Perform any other appropriate duties as assigned by supervisor.

THE REQUIREMENTS

  • Applicants should have: (1) a minimum of 5 passes in HKCEE or 5 HKDSE subjects with at least Level 2 or equivalent, including English, Chinese and Mathematics; or (2) any post-secondary qualification;
  • Holder of LCCI Level 2; or diploma / higher certificate in Accounting is preferable;
  • A minimum of 2 years relevant accounting experience preferably gained from a sizable organization;
  • Fair communication skills in both spoken and written English and Chinese;
  • Good in excel worksheet manipulation and Chinese Word Processing; and
  • Knowledge in Oracle Fusion Cloud Accounting System and FlexSystem Procurement Management is an advantage, but not a must.
