  • Prepare and monitor daily, weekly and monthly work schedules to achieve project milestones and completion targets.
  • Coordinate manpower, materials, machinery, equipment and subcontractor resources to ensure efficient site operations.
  • Monitor site progress, identify potential delays and implement appropriate corrective and recovery measures.
  • Ensure construction activities are carried out in the correct sequence and in accordance with approved construction methodologies.

2. Technical and Drawing Coordination

  • Review architectural, structural, civil and structural (C&S), and mechanical and electrical (M&E) drawings to ensure proper coordination and constructability.
  • Identify discrepancies, design clashes and technical issues, and coordinate with consultants to obtain the necessary clarifications and resolutions.
  • Review shop drawings, material submissions, technical proposals and method statements before submission to the relevant parties.
  • Raise and follow up on Requests for Information (RFIs) and technical queries to prevent delays and unnecessary rework.
  • Ensure the latest approved drawings and documents are used at the construction site.

3. Site Supervision and Subcontractor Management

  • Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, site supervisors and workers to ensure works are executed according to project requirements.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance, workmanship, productivity and progress against agreed schedules.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and coordination meetings to resolve site issues and improve work efficiency.
  • Ensure subcontractors comply with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, safety requirements and quality standards.
  • Coordinate interfaces between architectural, structural, civil and M&E works to minimise conflicts and disruption.

4. Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC)

  • Ensure all construction works comply with approved drawings, project specifications, applicable codes and quality requirements.
  • Coordinate inspections with the project quality team, consultants, Resident Engineer (RE), Resident Technical Officer (RTO) and other relevant parties.
  • Monitor Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), inspection requests, testing activities and quality documentation, as applicable.
  • Identify defective or non-conforming works and ensure timely corrective and preventive actions.
  • Minimise rework, material wastage and workmanship defects through proper planning, supervision and quality control.

5. Workplace Safety and Health (WSH)

  • Ensure construction activities comply with applicable Singapore Workplace Safety and Health legislation, project safety procedures and approved Risk Assessments.
  • Identify site hazards and coordinate the implementation of appropriate control measures before work commences.
  • Ensure relevant Safe Work Procedures, toolbox briefings, permit-to-work arrangements and safety inspections are implemented, where applicable.
  • Coordinate with the WSH team, supervisors and subcontractors to address unsafe practices and rectify safety deficiencies.
  • Promote a safe working environment and ensure workers comply with site safety requirements.

6. Procurement and Material Management

  • Prepare material requisitions and coordinate procurement requirements according to the construction programme.
  • Follow up on material approvals, samples, technical submissions, purchase orders and delivery schedules.
  • Ensure materials delivered to site meet approved specifications and are properly inspected, stored and protected.
  • Coordinate with procurement teams, suppliers and subcontractors to prevent material shortages and construction delays.
  • Monitor material usage and minimise wastage, damage and unnecessary costs.

7. Project Progress, Cost and Contract Administration

  • Monitor actual construction progress against the approved master programme and short-term schedules.
  • Prepare progress reports and highlight delays, constraints, outstanding issues and proposed mitigation measures.
  • Assist the Project Manager or Construction Manager with cost monitoring, progress measurements and subcontractor claims.
  • Maintain records of site instructions, variations, additional works, delays and other contractual matters.
  • Identify potential variation orders and assist in preparing supporting documentation, measurements and cost submissions.
  • Support productivity improvement, resource optimisation and cost-control initiatives.

8. Statutory Compliance and Project Documentation

  • Coordinate with the Qualified Person (QP), consultants and relevant authorities to support statutory submissions, inspections and approvals.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with applicable requirements of the Building and Construction Authority (BCA), Ministry of Manpower (MOM), SCDF, PUB and other relevant authorities, as applicable to the project.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
