Senior Applications Developer The Senior Applications Developer will be responsible for analyzing, planning, designing, programming, testing, implementing, and documenting all business software application requests and leading software implementation projects.   How You Will Make an Impact  

Serve as the primary technology liaison for assigned functional areas, partnering with stakeholders to understand business processes, define requirements, evaluate priorities, and translate needs into effective technical solutions. Analyze, design, develop, configure, integrate, and enhance scalable business applications that align with technical standards, security requirements, and organizational objectives. Provide technical direction on application architecture, development approaches, integrations, and complex problem resolution while identifying opportunities to improve system performance, reliability, and maintainability. Lead application development and implementation initiatives by defining scope, estimates, milestones, dependencies, and risks; coordinate cross-functional activities and deliver solutions accurately, on time, and to specification. Develop and execute testing strategies, conduct code reviews, support user acceptance testing, and obtain required approvals to ensure solutions meet functional, technical, and quality expectations. Coordinate deployments, monitor post-implementation performance, troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement sustainable resolutions that minimize business disruption. Create and maintain technical specifications, program documentation, process procedures, support materials, and end-user training to promote consistent support and effective solution adoption. Establish and follow coding, source control, documentation, and quality standards; evaluate tools, technologies, and practices that strengthen development efficiency and application capabilities. Coach junior developers, provide constructive technical feedback, share best practices, and help build team capability and consistency. Prioritize multiple assignments while maintaining quality and participate in off-hours support, period-close procedures, releases, and other critical business processes as needed.

  The Essentials

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems Technology, or related field required. 5+ years of experience in Information Systems Technology Proficiency with Microsoft Office preferred. This role is primarily remote and requires consistent virtual collaboration with cross‑functional teams. Strong understanding of application design, requirement gathering, SQL, and integrations. Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills. Able to work both in teams and independently. Employ effective troubleshooting/problem-solving skills. Good communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong organizational and time management skills. Work with a positive, customer-focused attitude. Business knowledge of a manufacturing/distribution environment.
