Engineering Career Path

Engineering Officer Support the operation, maintenance, and monitoring of propulsion, power generation, and auxiliary systems to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the vessel.

Progression

Third Engineer Support engine room operations and maintenance activities.

Second Engineer Oversee technical operations and engine room performance.

First Engineer Support the management of daily engineering operations and maintenance activities.

Chief Engineer Lead the Engineering department and oversee the safe and efficient operation of all technical systems onboard.

Electro-Technical Career Path

Electro-Technical Officer (ETO) Support the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical, automation, communication, and network systems onboard.

Third Electro-Technical Officer Support the maintenance and operation of onboard electrical and automation systems.
