The posting

Job Description

We are seeking an Engineering Technician to support engineering activities across the design, build, testing, troubleshooting, failure analysis, maintenance, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototype electromechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, and specialized test equipment.

In this role, you will work from schematics, diagrams, layouts, written instructions, and verbal descriptions to complete technical assignments. You will assist in identifying methods to resolve malfunctions and will use manufacturing, test, development, and diagnostic equipment such as test programs, oscilloscopes, signal generators, environmental chambers, microscopes, x-ray systems, and other specialized test apparatus.

This position works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature and requires the ability to recognize when occasional deviation from accepted practice may be needed. We are requiring onsite presence in Newark, DE.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a thorough understanding of products, systems, and equipment, and apply that knowledge to design, build, test, maintain, and repair them.
  • Perform reliability, environmental, compliance, investigative, characterization, and qualification testing on electrical and electromechanical systems.
  • Design, develop, and rework cable and wire harnesses needed for system and electrical designs, testing, and debugging.
  • Solder components for PCBA prototype testing and perform component rework to support debugging activities.
  • Set up and conduct tests of moderate scope and record data to support engineering analysis.
  • Execute experiments and collect, maintain, organize, compile, analyze, and document technical data and repair activities in the specified system.
  • Operate laboratory equipment, including environmental chambers, microscopes, oscilloscopes, x-ray systems, and other diagnostic tools.
  • Install new or maintain existing mechanical and electrical test fixtures.
  • Participate in troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
  • Perform diagnostic, installation, repair, and maintenance work.
  • Support lab operations, including planning lab activities, equipment logistics, and calibration.
  • Maintain laboratory organization, equipment readiness, and material inventories.
  • Actively support and adhere to the Quality Policy and Quality System procedures.
  • Participate in support activities such as Standard Operating Procedure creation and maintenance, defect reviews, and process enhancement activities.
  • Continuously work to improve manufacturing processes, efficiency, and product quality.
  • Establish collaborative relationships with stakeholders across the site.
  • Follow safety procedures and identify potential hazards within the laboratory environment.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
