Recruiting Specialist – $23/hour

Portland / Lake Oswego, Oregon | Full-Time | Onsite

Recruiting here is about more than filling openings.

At Home Instead, having the right Caregivers in place directly impacts the care our clients receive.

We’re looking for a Recruiting Specialist who can help us build a dependable, stable Caregiver workforce - finding the right people, moving them through the hiring process and helping them get off to a great start.

You'll use AI and recruiting technology to help make the process faster and more efficient, but this is still very much a people job. You'll be the human connection between an applicant clicking “Apply” and a new Caregiver joining our team.

Pay

$23.00/hour | Full-Time | Onsite

What You’ll Do

  • Review applicants and AI screening results
  • Interview and select Caregiver candidates
  • Make offers and keep candidates moving through the hiring process
  • Complete onboarding and pre-employment paperwork
  • Keep candidates informed and engaged from application through their first day
  • Work with our team to make sure we're hiring for current and upcoming client needs

This isn't about hitting a hiring number and moving on to the next applicant.

Success means building a stable, reliable Caregiver workforce so our clients receive consistent, high-quality care.

We care about more than how many people we hire. We want to know:

  • Are we attracting the right people?
  • Are good candidates moving quickly through the process?
  • Are new hires completing onboarding and actually starting work?
  • Does their availability match when our clients need care?
  • Are the people we hire staying?

What We’re Looking For

You may be a good fit if you:

  • Like talking with people and can make candidates feel comfortable
  • Can conduct a good interview without making it feel like an interrogation
  • Are comfortable using technology and excited about working with AI-supported recruiting tools
  • Can keep up with a high volume of applicants without losing the personal touch
  • Are organized and follow through
  • Communicate well by phone, text and email
  • Understand that hiring the right person matters more than simply filling a seat
  • Like working as part of a team and can shift priorities when needed

Experience in recruiting, staffing, HR, healthcare, home care or other high-volume hiring environments is helpful.
