Vi ser lungemedicin som den perfekte blanding af klassisk medicinske opgaver og invasive procedure med fx bronkoskopier, anlæggelse af pleuradræn og UL-undersøgelser af lungerne. Vi vil bestræbe os på at lære dig det meste.

Lungemedicinsk Afdeling, Aalborg Universitetshospital, varetager opgaver med udredning, behandling og pleje af patienter med medicinske lungesygdomme. Der modtages såvel elektive som akutte patienter til indlæggelse. Den ambulante aktivitet er omfattende

Lungemedicinsk Afdeling, Aalborg Universitetshospital, dækker over flere matrikler. Sengeafsnit og Dagafsnit med cancerudredning ligger i Hospitalsbyen, mens den ambulante aktivitet fortsat skal foregå i Medicinerhuset på matrikel syd nogle år fremover.

Afdelingen har landsdelsfunktion inden for lungemedicin. Afdelingen varetager den regionale udredning af patienter mistænkt for lungecancer og har lokalsygehusfunktion for 250.000 indbyggere Afdelingen indgår i speciallægeuddannelsen på alle specialiserede niveauer og deltager i klinisk undervisning af medicinske studenter.

Området er lægefagligt normeret med:

  • 3 Ledende overlæger
  • 1 Professor
  • 4 Overlæger
  • 10 Speciallæger
  • 5-8 læger i Hoveduddannelse i medicinske lungesygdomme
  • 4-6 læger i Introduktionsstilling
  • 2-4 læger i KBU-stilling

Afdelingen har vagtfællesskab med de andre interne medicinske afdelinger og deltager i modtagelse af patienter på Akut medicinsk modtageafsnit.
