In addition, this role will partner closely with 2D designers and marketing teams to seamlessly integrate 2D artwork within each retail setting. This is an exciting opportunity to lead us into our next chapter of growth and continue to evolve and elevate our unique physical brand image and experience worldwide.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Lead end-to-end design process for visual merchandising retail displays and secondary brand experiential environments, from initial concept ideation, mood boards, and 3D renderings through to technical development, refinement and final execution.

  • Create and adapt design solutions across a variety of retail formats including endcaps, gondolas, retailer towers, temporary displays, and promotional activations.
  • Create 3D renderings and design concept proposals for review and approval.
  • Develop and deliver vendor kick-off decks that effectively convey design intent, material requirements, specifications and critical design details.
  • Responsible for technical drawing review and approval process. Proactively identify and escalate budget risk. Deliver value engineered solutions as needed that preserve design intent and brand luxury standards.
  • Ensure design details and material specifications are optimized for durability, functionality, and performance in high-traffic environments, and meet retailer requirements.
  • Create technical drawings for product display templates that align with assortment requirements. Ensure seamless integration of copy and visual elements through close collaboration with 2D design team.
  • Manage prototype review and approval process and timeline with vendors and internal stakeholders. Ensure timely feedback and approvals to meet production timelines. Escalate risk when needed.
  • Communicate comprehensive feedback to vendors via live meetings and in Asana in a timely manner.
  • Conduct site visits when required to oversee installation and ensure best-in-class execution.
  • Work closely with marketing, commercial and education partners to understand project brief including functional and experiential requirements. Manage review process to create stakeholder alignment.
  • Understand seasonal launch cadence, timelines and individual retailer launch dates.
  • Translate brand event creative and experiential objectives into impactful secondary retail activations, ensuring a seamless and cohesive consumer experience across all touchpoints.
  • Collaborate with 2D team during design phase to ensure visuals and copy are aligned with the overall design strategy. Support 2D teams on structural design.
  • Work closely with Visual Merchandising & Store Design Operations partners to communicate information regarding design timelines, graphics, shipping, and instruction sheets.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of the Hourglass retail landscape, including retailer types, fixture formats, secondary placements, graphic treatments, assortments, and merchandising strategies.
  • From gondola to secondary retail environments, contribute to the Hourglass library of fixture drawings, planograms, and 3D renderings to ensure they are accurate and to scale.
  • Support the development of design guidelines and global best practices.
  • Keep files labeled, organized, and updated on SharePoint and Asana.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
