We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Senior Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to join our finance team. This role reports to the Chief Financial Officer. This individual will work closely with key business partners to help achieve the company’s growth and profitability objectives. Responsibilities are focused on strategic business planning, financial planning and analysis, and cross-functional partnership and leadership, to enable the sustainable, profitable scaling of a fast-growing business.

This leader will own the FP&A function end to end: setting its direction, building team and process capability, and serving as the forward-looking voice of the numbers for senior leadership. The ideal candidate is a collaborative, result-oriented leader with extensive financial planning experience and interest in continued growth and development. The ideal candidate will bring 10+ years of progressive experience in financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting, including full P&L ownership, with strong analytical and strategic business acumen, a track record of leading and developing teams, and a passion for the premium beauty industry.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Financial Planning & Analysis:

  • Own the direction of the function: define and drive the FP&A capability roadmap (reporting, forecasting, planning processes, and systems), identifying what the business needs before it is asked for.
  • Own the numbers and the assumptions behind them; proactively identify business risks and opportunities (such as cost increases and category or channel trends), quantify their impact on full-year profit delivery, and bring recommendations and options to the CFO.
  • Lead the annual bottoms-up budget and forecast cycles end to end: develop the plan, timeline, and key assumptions ensuring accuracy and alignment with business goals.
  • Lead the preparation of detailed financial reports across business units, channels, and geographies, providing actionable insights to senior leadership.
  • Monitor all relevant financial KPIs and spending. Make recommendations and act to preserve business growth and profitability.
  • Provide recurrent view of Omnichannel profitability: P&L by Customer/ Door / Category / Commercial Line.
  • Define and deliver ad hoc financial analysis adapted to the business needs.
  • Support preparation of weekly/monthly/quarterly financial business reviews and other reporting for the senior leadership team including strategic/business insights and progress against key performance measures.
  • Develop financial models that reflect an aligned approach between business imperatives, investment/capital expenditure strategy and profitability goals.
  • Lead, develop, and motivate the FP&A team: set clear expectations, provide regular coaching and feedback, hold the team accountable, and build team capabilities and structure as the function scales.
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities through detailed financial modeling and reporting.
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner to business leaders, translating complex financial data into clear narratives and decisions.
  • Align forecasts and reporting with parent-company (Unilever Prestige) planning cycles, confirming the agreed source of truth for each deliverable.
  • Ensure the timely completion of financial deliverables and the maintenance of high-quality financial systems.
  • Proactively identify and drive automation and process improvement opportunities across FP&A (such as digitalization, systems integration, and streamlined workflows) to reduce manual work, ease the burden on the team, and free up capacity for value-added analysis.

Technology & Special Projects:

  • Leverage advanced financial tools such as Adaptive Insights, Power BI, and Excel modeling to enhance reporting capabilities and financial analysis.
  • Work alongside the CFO to evaluate new technologies and ways of working to improve visibility into performance, and empower team members across the business to have the right data, at the right time to aid their decision-making process.
  • Manage retail pricing and inflation analysis across the global business to drive appropriate actions to protect profitability.
  • Work with the Controller to ensure that audit recommendations are implemented, and the team can continue to work efficiently whilst adhere to Controls Framework.

YOU’LL LOVE THIS JOB IF:

  • You are CREATIVE: You are innovative and forward-thinking in your approach and mindset.
  • You are highly STRATEGIC: You are able to develop creative concepts and vision that support brand and business goals.
  • You are extremely ORGANIZED: You are not overwhelmed by the thought of tackling multiple tasks at a time.
  • You are DETAIL ORIENTED: You appreciate the importance of having detailed and precise information.
  • You are a strong COMMUNICATOR: You are a people person, natural leader and collaborate well with others.
  • You are AGILE: You adapt well to changing needs and priorities and are able to pivot easily to achieve goals and deadlines.
  • You are PASSIONATE about beauty: You are eager to learn and absorb all things related to beauty, brand and creative strategy.
  • You are a PEOPLE LEADER: You develop, motivate, and hold others accountable, and take pride in growing the capabilities of your team.
  • You are FORWARD-LOOKING: You anticipate risks and opportunities before they surface, take ownership of the numbers, and come to the table with a point of view and a recommended path.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, ideally within a fast-paced, high-growth environment in beauty, luxury goods, or consumer packaged goods.
  • Demonstrated full P&L ownership, including revenue, gross margin drivers, and operating expenses across multiple channels (such as wholesale, retail, and e-commerce).
  • Hands-on experience in beauty, consumer packaged goods, or retail, with working knowledge of channel mix, sell-in versus sell-out, and category dynamics.
  • 4-year degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or Economics; Graduate degree preferred.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering high-quality results.
  • Proven people leader with the ability to develop, motivate, and hold a team accountable and to build team capability and structure, while working collaboratively across departments.
  • Strategic and forward-thinking, with the ability to anticipate business risks and challenges, translate them into P&L impact, and recommend decisions without being asked.
  • Autonomous decision-maker with a high level of ownership; able to influence and negotiate with senior leaders and to hold difficult conversations.
  • Executive-level communication skills, with the ability to distill complex financial information into clear, concise narratives for non-finance leaders.
  • Strong track record of process implementation and transformation with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Experience building or scaling an FP&A function (processes, reporting, and planning tools) in a growing or matrixed organization.
  • Strong proficiency in Adaptive Insights, Power BI, and advanced Excel modeling; the ability to quickly adapt to new financial systems and tools.
  • Must be able to work from Corporate Office at least 60% of the time.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
