Summary The primary purpose of this position is to provide managerial oversight of administrative staff, including Front Desk Associates, General Clerks, the Customer Service Associate, and Support and Service Request Specialist II positions. The incumbent is responsible for general Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) critical tasks as assigned, including briefings and landlord interface. All activities must support the Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh ("HACP" or "Authority") mission, strategic goals, and objectives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The position duties and responsibilities listed below describe the general nature and scope of work. Other responsibilities, duties, and skills may be required and assigned.
Manages administrative staff, including Front Desk Associates, General Clerks, Customer Service Associates, and Support and Service Request Specialist IIs, including assignment, planning, review, and evaluation of work and job performance, as well as workforce planning such as talent acquisition, training and development, and performance management.
Creates and updates reports to track subordinate workflow and deliverables.
Ensures administrative staff adherence to Agency and departmental policies, processes, and procedures.
Acts as a liaison for HACP projects and assists with the development of new initiatives for the HCVP department.
Calendars all meetings for the HCV Department, including securing appropriate meeting rooms, and assists in preparing materials for meetings and presentations.
Researches regulations, creates reports, and facilitates problem-solving efforts through to resolution.
Maintains electronic records and performs analysis when applicable.
Monitors and evaluates workflow and provides viable, timely recommendations in consultation with the immediate manager.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
Strong computer skills in MS Word, Excel, and Google Suite; must have the ability to learn other computer software programs as required by assigned tasks.
Education, Certifications, Licensing, and Experience
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required and a minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in an administrative or office management role. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Familiar with the Collective Bargaining Agreement process and management adherence of contracts pertaining to union workers.
Must possess a valid driver's license and be insurable under the Authority's plan.
ADA and Other Requirements Positions in this class typically require grasping, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions. Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met. Working Conditions: Work is performed in indoor and outdoor office environments.
