We are seeking an HR Coordinator to support day-to-day HR operations in close collaboration with the HR Director. This role will be responsible for executing established HR processes, maintaining accurate employee records and HRIS (ADP) data, supporting payroll and benefits administration, and identifying opportunities to improve HR workflows and operational efficiency.

As an HR Coordinator at HPR, you will:

  • Ensure new hires receive required information, documentation, and training.
  • Coordinate employee offboarding, including required documentation, HRIS and benefits enrollment updates, and accurate recordkeeping.
  • Assist with biweekly payroll processing, including employee data changes, documentation, reporting, and reconciliation to ensure accurate and timely completion.
  • Coordinate day-to-day employee benefits and leave administration, including enrollments, coverage terminations, qualifying life events, employee inquiries, and communication with benefits providers.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential employee records and HRIS data; prepare routine HR, payroll, and benefits reports and help resolve discrepancies.
  • Respond to routine employee and manager inquiries about HR policies, payroll, benefits, onboarding, and HR systems, escalating complex or sensitive issues to the HR Director.
  • Track required training and certifications, employee surveys, and recurring HR administrative and compliance deadlines.
  • Assist with routine audits of personnel files, I-9 documentation, and HR systems to support data integrity and compliance with applicable employment requirements.
  • Assist with the preparation of HR executive reports.
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR workflows, documentation, and systems, and assist with implementing approved improvements.

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in human resources operations, including employee onboarding, offboarding, HRIS data management, and established HR processes.
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience supporting payroll processing and employee benefits administration, including HRIS data management, payroll-related changes, reconciliations, audits, and reporting.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint, with strong Excel skills in data management, reporting, and creating charts and graphs.
  • Strong organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail, follow-through, and ability to manage recurring deadlines accurately.
  • Strong communication skills, a service-oriented approach, discretion with confidential information, and sound judgment when escalating sensitive matters to the HR Director.
  • Hands-on experience with ADP (strongly preferred) or a comparable HRIS platform, including employee data management, reporting, and payroll-related transactions.
  • Ability to work on-site at HPR's Needham, MA office Monday through Friday.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
