About the Opportunity

We are hiring a passionate Lead English Teacher (K1) for an established boutique international kindergarten in the East.

The school offers a warm, close-knit learning environment and adopts the International Preschool Curriculum (IPC), with a strong emphasis on play-based, inquiry-led and child-centred learning.

This is a wonderful opportunity for educators who enjoy creative teaching, meaningful interactions with children and a more personalised classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a Kindergarten 1 (K1) classroom independently.
  • Plan and deliver engaging English lessons through play-based and inquiry-led activities.
  • Support children's literacy, social-emotional and overall developmental progress.
  • Observe and document children's learning milestones.
  • Maintain a positive, safe and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Communicate regularly with parents on children's progress.
  • Collaborate with fellow educators on curriculum planning and school activities.

Requirements

  • ECDA L2 certification (English) with a recognised Diploma in Early Childhood Education (DECCE-T, ECDE or equivalent).
  • 3-5 years of prior preschool teaching experience, preferably with K1/K2 children.
  • Experience independently managing a classroom and planning lessons.
  • Familiarity with play-based, inquiry-led or child-centred teaching approaches.
  • Strong English communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passionate, creative and confident in engaging young learners.
