Opis posla ISKUSTVENOG MENTORA (Peer mentor):

  • priprema i provedba usluge iskustvenog mentorstva s korisnicima s invaliditetom kroz razgovor i motivaciju
  • pružanje informacija o važnim temama za OSI (zdravlje, njega, intimnost, prava)
  • uključivanje članova obitelji te koordinacija upućivanja u druge usluge
  • sudjelovanje u inicijalnoj analizi, izrada individualiziranog pristupa, vođenje bilješki s prethodnog susreta, procjena potencijalnih rizika, dogovaranje termina, provjera pristupačnosti te vođenje obrazaca za evidenciju i evaluaciju. VAŽNA NAPOMENA! Mentor mora biti osoba sa spinalnom ozljedom, što se dokazuje slanjem otpusnog pisma i najnovijeg izvatka iz Registra osoba s invaliditetom. Kriteriji za peer mentore
  • osoba sa spinalnom ozljedom ili amputacijom koja živi s invaliditetom dovoljno dugo da je uspješno prošla proces prilagodbe (preporuka: najmanje 2 godine, po uzoru na međunarodne standarde min. 12 mjeseci)
  • stvarno rehabilitirana, samostalna osoba koja vlastitim životom predstavlja pozitivan primjer (ključni zahtjev ispitanika ankete)
  • završena edukacija za iskustvene mentore (komunikacijske i prezentacijske vještine, motivacijske tehnike, prava OSI, granice uloge, faze emocionalne prilagodbe, postupanje u rizičnim situacijama)
  • spremnost na kontinuiranu superviziju, vođenje dokumentacije i poštivanje etičkih pravila uslug Poželjne osobine mentora (Mount Sinai standard)
  • sposobnost slušanja i komunikacije
  • motivacija za pomaganje drugima
  • svijest o osobnim granicama
  • razumijevanje važnosti povjerljivosti
  • neosuđujući stav
  • sposobnost suzdržavanja od nametanja vlastitih stavova
  • spremnost zatražiti pomoć kad partnerstvo zapne
  • uspješna vlastita prilagodba na život s invaliditetom
  • uvid u vlastite snage i ograničenja
