Einleitung

Der HTGF gehört zu den aktivsten Frühphasen-Investoren in Europa. Um interne Prozesse zu professionalisieren und Innovationen voranzutreiben, wird die IT- und Datenlandschaft gezielt ausgebaut. In unserer AI Product Unit entwickeln wir KI-Agenten und Datenplattformen für den Venture-Capital-Alltag – von Dealflow bis Portfolio-Management. Zum nächstmöglichen Zeitpunkt suchen wir an den Standorten Bonn, Berlin oder München eine:n Junior AI Engineer (m/w/d) unbefristet in Vollzeit.

Was Dich erwartet

Als Junior AI Engineer (m/w/d) bist Teil eines 8-köpfigen IT-Teams und entwickelst gemeinsam KI-Lösungen, die im VC-Alltag des HTGF täglich genutzt werden – agil, mit Linear und Notion.

  • KI-Lösungsentwicklung: KI-Agenten, Automatisierungen, RAG-Systeme und LLM-basierte Anwendungen – Agent-Pipelines mit LangGraph, async Python mit FastAPI und Pydantic
  • Unternehmensweite RAG-Pipelines: Umsetzung von Komponenten unserer RAG-Infrastruktur mit Fokus auf semantische Suche und Antwortqualität
  • Datenintegration & Konnektivität: Pipelines, API-Anbindungen und MCP-Server zur Anbindung interner Datenquellen; Retrieval über Vektor- und Graph-Datenbanken
  • LLM-Monitoring & Evaluation: Evals für LLM- und Agentensysteme schreiben, Traces in Langfuse auswerten und Fehler systematisch aufarbeiten
  • Steuerung agentischer Workflows: Tägliche Arbeit mit Coding Agents – gezielt gesteuert über Spezifikationen, Context-Management und Verifier
  • Business-Anwendungsentwicklung: Frontends mit React, TypeScript und Tailwind sowie Unterstützung beim Deployment mit Docker
  • Eigeninitiative: Verbesserungspotenziale in Systemen und Prozessen erkennen, eigene Lösungsvorschläge einbringen und umsetzen

Das zeichnet Dich aus

  • Abgeschlossenes Studium in Informatik, Mathematik, Ingenieurwesen oder eine vergleichbare IT-Ausbildung
  • Mindestens 1 Jahr praktische Erfahrung im Design und in der Entwicklung agentischer Software (Agenten, Tool Calling, Context Engineering)
  • Sichere Kenntnisse in Python; Erfahrung mit async Python und JavaScript/TypeScript ist ein Plus
  • Professioneller Umgang mit AI-Coding-Tools im Entwickleralltag
  • Erste Erfahrung mit LLM-Evaluation, Vektor- oder Graph-Datenbanken von Vorteil
  • Eigenständige, proaktive Arbeitsweise – Themen werden vorangetrieben, ohne auf Anweisungen zu warten
  • Schnelle Auffassungsgabe, Neugier und der Wille zur fachlichen Weiterentwicklung im Bereich AI Engineering
  • Interesse am VC- und Startup-Umfeld sowie Freude daran, fachliche Anforderungen zu verstehen und die richtigen Rückfragen zu stellen
  • Fließendes Deutsch (C1/C2) und konversationssichere Englischkenntnisse (B1/B2)
