Responsibilities  

Greet and assist customers promptly and courteously at the sales counter Answer incoming customer telephone calls and provide customer service, including will call, special orders and deliveries Uses the software to provide information on pricing, availability and alternate product selection to complete the customer transactions Process sales transactions accurately using POS (point-of-sale) systems and handle cash or electronic payments Suggest additional and related items to the customer’s order.  Resolves customer problems promptly and accurately in a manner that will retain and promote customer loyalty Assists the customer with loading product into the customer vehicle Maintain inventory by restocking shelves, conducting stock counts, and reporting discrepancies Coordinate with warehouse and delivery teams to ensure timely order fulfillment Participates in required training to ensure proper compliance of HAZMAT and refrigerant handling when processing transactions Supports promotional activities and upsell products to meet sales targets Processes warranty claims for defective product Other duties as assigned by management High school diploma or equivalent; Technical or trade education is a plus Strong customer service and communication skills Sales minded with the confidence to recommend products and support store goals Ability to learn technical product lines quickly and share knowledge with customers Previous experience in sales or service of AC/Heating or Refrigeration equipment and parts is preferred. However, other industrial type sales such as hardware, electrical, plumbing, building materials, automotive parts, etc. will be considered 1 year of warehouse/material handling experience preferred Comfortable using POS systems, order entry software, and basic computer applications Ability to stand for extended periods of time and perform light physical tasks such as lifting merchandise Must be at least 18 years old Bilingual (Spanish) abilities to assist a diverse customer base is preferred but not required Must have a professional appearance and attitude
