This role is critical to building long-term strategic partnerships, driving revenue growth, and strengthening our position in a rapidly evolving energy storage market.

Job Title: Utility-Scale BESS Business Development Manager

Job Location: Rijswijk, Netherlands

Main Responsibilities:

  • Align with the company’s go-to-market strategy to proactively identify, develop, and expand sales opportunities within the Dutch utility-scale BESS market, with a focus on high-value, long-term partnerships.
  • Build, manage, and deepen trust-based relationships with key stakeholders, including utilities, developers, investors, and IPPs. Develop a strong understanding of their business needs, challenges, and strategic priorities.
  • Own and drive the end-to-end sales process for assigned NAs, working closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., technical, legal, and project management) across RFP responses, solution development, contract negotiation, and deal closure.
  • Take full ownership of the sales performance of assigned NAs, including order intake, revenue targets, and market share growth. Develop and execute actionable account plans, track progress, and adjust strategies to ensure targets are achieved.
  • Monitor market trends, regulatory developments, and competitive dynamics in the Netherlands, and provide actionable insights to internal stakeholders to refine go-to-market strategies and product positioning.

Requirements:

  • Solid understanding of the Dutch energy storage market, including regulatory frameworks, market mechanisms, and key industry players. Existing customer relationships are a strong advantage.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence decision-makers and collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Strong commercial acumen, self-motivation, and a results-driven mindset, with the ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Professional fluency in English is required; Dutch language skills are a strong plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Business Administration, Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
