The posting

Location: This position is hybrid in Bogotá.

The role.

We are hiring a Systems Specialist to join our globally distributed Systems Administration team. You will start where the systems meet the hardware: the device fleet, the Bogotá office infrastructure, enrollment and build workflows, and the recurring audits that keep our inventory accurate. As you grow, you will take on identity, email and network work alongside the rest of the team.

You will report to, and work day to day with, the Associate Director, Systems Administration in the UK, and collaborate closely with our Systems Administrator in Bogotá and the IT Support team in Bogotá and Medellín. The role suits someone with one to three years of hands-on IT experience who learns by doing, keeps careful records, and wants a clear path into systems administration.

What you will be doing.

  • Manage the macOS fleet in Iru (formerly Kandji): enrollment through Apple Business Manager, library items and blueprints, Self Service apps, OS updates and compliance status.
  • Manage the Windows fleet in Kaseya VSA X: build new laptops with our onboarding workflows, keep the agent, patch policy and endpoint security tools (Sophos, Tenable, Delinea) healthy, and investigate devices that stop checking in.
  • Keep the asset inventory accurate in Asset Panda — assignments, statuses, serials and locations— and prepare the reports the quarterly audits depend on.
  • Execute the quarterly access audits with the team: export users and devices from each system, reconcile against the HR roster and the asset inventory, and prepare findings for approval.
  • Run the device side of onboarding and offboarding in Colombia and the Americas: quotes and purchases with local vendors, shipping, enrollment, locking and wiping returned devices, and updating the inventory.
  • Look after the Bogotá office infrastructure: network equipment (Cisco Meraki), UPS, access-control controllers and cameras, printers, and coordination with facilities, ISPs and local vendors.
  • Handle escalations from the IT Support team on Okta, Google Workspace and MDM issues, with guidance from senior colleagues, and document the fix.
  • Follow up alerts from our security providers: chase devices whose agents have gone quiet, confirm remediation, and remove leavers' devices from every tool.
  • Assist with Google Workspace and Okta administration as you learn them: group membership, app assignments, distribution lists, and the checks that follow an HR profile change.
  • Write and maintain documentation in the team's knowledge base: build procedures, office information, vendor contacts.
  • Automate small recurring tasks with scripts (Bash, Python or Google Apps Script) as your skills

What we like to see.

  • 1–3 years in IT support, desktop engineering or a junior systems role, ideally with responsibility for company-owned devices.
  • Hands-on experience with macOS and Windows administration; exposure to an MDM or RMM tools (Iru/Kandji, Jamf, Intune, Kaseya) are a strong plus.
  • Working knowledge of Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 from the admin side, and of an identity provider such as Okta.
  • Networking basics — IP addressing, VLANs, Wi-Fi, DNS — enough to troubleshoot an office network with guidance.
  • Comfort on the command line (Terminal or PowerShell) and willingness to learn scripting.
  • Google Workspace & Okta (task-level): Group membership, app assignments, distribution lists, and post-HR-change checks — guided by senior colleagues as skills develop.
  • Service mindset: User- and team-first approach — responsive, helpful, and focused on making others' work easier rather than just closing tickets.
  • Careful, methodical habits: you keep inventories accurate and you document what you change.
  • Fluent Spanish and professional working English — the team, its documentation and most vendors work in English.
  • Able to be in the Bogotá office when hardware, network or vendor work requires it.

If the selected candidate holds a degree in Engineering or a related profession, they must present their professional license. To verify your degree requires this license, please visit www.copnia.gov.co and https://www.consejoprofesional.org.co/.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
