Who are we looking for ?

We are seeking an ambitious, detail-oriented Jr Counsel (Legal) Intern to support our legal and compliance functions in Singapore. You will gain hands-on experience working on commercial agreements, corporate governance, and regulatory matters within a fast-growing, multi-jurisdictional fintech environment.

How will you contribute to HugoHub?

  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements, including non-disclosure agreements, service level agreements, and consultancy contracts.
  • Conduct supplier contract verification and vendor due diligence to ensure compliance with internal risk parameters and regulatory requirements.
  • Support general corporate legal matters, regulatory filings, and corporate governance obligations across HugoHub and Atlas Consolidated entities.
  • Research relevant financial regulations, licensing frameworks, data protection, and cross-border compliance matters affecting fintech operations.

Must have skills:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) or equivalent legal qualification from a recognised university.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of contract law, legal drafting, and commercial terms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with high integrity and discretion.

Good to have skills :

  • Familiarity with financial services regulations, payment licences, or fintech business models in Singapore and South East Asia.
  • Previous legal internship experience in a corporate legal department or law firm.
  • Understanding of data privacy and intellectual property principles.
