## Job Summary The Tester is responsible for ensuring that software applications meet quality standards and function as intended. This role is crucial for identifying bugs and issues before the software is released to end-users. The Tester contributes to the overall goal of delivering high-quality products by performing various testing types and documenting results.

## Responsibilities - Develop and execute test plans and test cases based on application requirements. - Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools. - Collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to understand features and prepare testing scenarios. - Perform regression testing and ensure that existing functionality remains unaffected by new changes. - Prepare and present test reports to the team and management. - Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies.

## Qualifications - Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies. - Experience with various types of testing such as functional, regression, performance, and usability testing. - Proficiency in using testing tools and bug tracking systems (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla). - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Strong attention to detail and ability to work under minimal supervision. - Good communication skills, both verbal and written. - Educational qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (e.g., Bachelor's degree).

## Preferred Skills - Familiarity with automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium, QTP). - Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Java, Python). - Experience with Agile testing methodology. - Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB).
