Industry:

Roadside Assistance, Mobility & Logistics Technology

Hybrid - 3 times from the Office

The Role

Our partner is an established technology company specialising in digital solutions for roadside assistance, mobility services and logistics coordination.

They are looking for a Senior Product Owner to take independent ownership of the relationship between customer requirements, business needs and product development.

Its technology supports the coordination of complex operational processes, connecting customers, service providers, dispatch teams and vehicles through integrated software platforms, mobile applications and intelligent routing solutions.

The role operates at the intersection of Customer, Commercial and Software Engineering. The successful candidate will be responsible for understanding complex customer requirements, identifying underlying operational challenges and translating them into meaningful product solutions.

Combining customer engagement, business analysis and product ownership, the position requires someone capable of managing the entire cycle independently: from initial customer discussions and requirements assessment to product definition, prioritisation, development coordination and final validation.

Working closely with the Commercial function and in collaboration with Software Engineering, the Senior Product Owner will ensure that customer requests are evaluated in terms of operational value, technical feasibility, scalability and commercial potential.

Key Responsibilities

1. Customer Relationship & Solutions Ownership

  • Act as a key point of contact for assigned customers regarding product-related matters, operational requirements and business needs.
  • Independently lead discussions with customers to understand their roadside assistance, dispatch, fleet coordination and logistics workflows.
  • Analyse customer requests and identify the underlying operational and business requirements.
  • Assess whether needs can be addressed through existing functionality, configuration, customisation or further product development.
  • Manage expectations, communicate proposed solutions and follow through on agreed deliverables.
  • Build trusted customer relationships through a thorough understanding of their operational environment.

2. Product Ownership & Requirements Management

  • Take ownership of translating business requirements into structured product specifications.
  • Develop user stories, functional requirements, process flows and acceptance criteria.
  • Evaluate proposed enhancements based on business value, customer impact, scalability and implementation effort.
  • Identify recurring customer needs and opportunities to incorporate them into the core product.
  • Maintain and manage the product backlog, ensuring that requirements are properly defined, documented and prioritised.
  • Recommend product improvements and contribute actively to product roadmap discussions.
  • Challenge requests when necessary, distinguishing between individual customer preferences and developments that create broader product value.

3. Commercial & Business Collaboration

  • Work closely with the Commercial team to understand customer commitments, business priorities and growth opportunities.
  • Evaluate the commercial implications of customer requests and proposed product enhancements.
  • Identify opportunities for additional functionality, product adoption and expansion of existing customer relationships.
  • Contribute to the assessment of new product opportunities emerging from customer interactions and market requirements.
  • Ensure product decisions reflect both customer needs and the company's commercial objectives.

4. Software Engineering & Delivery Coordination

  • Collaborate with Software Engineering to assess technical feasibility, complexity, dependencies and alternative implementation approaches.
  • Provide clear and sufficiently detailed requirements to support development planning and execution.
  • Participate in development planning, reviews and prioritisation discussions.
  • Coordinate requirement clarification throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Validate delivered functionality against agreed business requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Ensure that solutions address the original business need and are fit for operational use.

5. Continuous Product Improvement

  • Maintain an overview of customer feedback, product requests and recurring operational challenges.
  • Identify opportunities to improve dispatch processes, service-provider coordination, intelligent routing, operational visibility and customer experience.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of implemented solutions and gather feedback for further improvement.
  • Contribute to the continuous evolution and competitiveness of the company's products.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in Product Ownership, Business Analysis, Product Management, Software Implementation or Customer Solutions within a technology or software environment.
  • Demonstrated experience independently managing business requirements and translating them into functional product specifications.
  • Strong experience working directly with customers and managing complex business requirements.
  • Good understanding of software development methodologies, Agile environments and product development lifecycles.
  • Experience with product backlogs, user stories, acceptance criteria and requirements documentation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both business stakeholders and Software Engineering professionals.
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of how product decisions affect customer value and business performance.
  • Excellent analytical, organisational and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Fluency in English.

Experience in one or more of the following sectors will be considered an advantage:

  • Roadside assistance and vehicle recovery.
  • Insurance assistance and mobility services.
  • Fleet management and transportation.
  • Logistics, dispatch and route optimisation.
  • Field service management and service-provider networks.

Personal Attributes

We are looking for someone who:

  • Takes initiative and assumes ownership without requiring continuous supervision.
  • Combines customer orientation with strong analytical and business judgement.
  • Can independently structure ambiguous requests and turn them into actionable requirements.
  • Is confident challenging assumptions and proposing alternative solutions.
  • Can navigate comfortably between commercial discussions and technical conversations.
  • Understands that successful product ownership requires balancing customer satisfaction, technical feasibility and business value.

Benefits

  • Monthly gross salary: €2,500–€3,300 euros gross, depending on experience, capabilities and demonstrated ability to independently manage the full scope of the role.
  • Ticket Restaurant meal vouchers.
  • Private medical insurance.

The upper end of the compensation range is intended for candidates who can assume comprehensive ownership of the customer-to-product lifecycle, combining customer management, business analysis, product definition, prioritisation and development coordination.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
