ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Join a global precision engineering company with over 2,200 employees and 450 engineers across 26 locations in 11 countries. As part of a family of companies united by a common goal — delivering the most robust, reliable, and high-value products in motion, controls, and power — you'll contribute to innovative solutions serving Aerospace & Defense, Medical, Agriculture, Industrial, Automotive, Electronics, and more. Based in Vila do Conde, Portugal (dedicated exclusively to motor production), you'll be part of the Global Engineering Team – Europe, a distributed group spanning Portugal, the UK, and Sweden that creates standardized electronics and software platforms for cost-effective integrated products across all European technical units.

Your work spans concept-to-design translation, CAD modeling, FEA & CFD analysis, and cross-disciplinary collaboration to deliver high-performance solutions that provide competitive advantages to customers. Responsibilities include designing and optimizing mechanical components using SolidWorks, creating simulation models (thermal, electrical, kinematic), performing ANSYS-based structural and thermal analysis, developing testing platforms and fixtures, conducting performance and vibration testing, and validating algorithms in Matlab, Simulink, or Python. You'll apply thermodynamic concepts to design high-power-density systems and collaborate closely with electronics, software, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration.

  • Programming skills in Matlab, Simulink, and Python (scripting or automation knowledge is a plus)
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving mindset with ability to approach multidisciplinary engineering challenges
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across electronics, software, and manufacturing teams
  • Strong knowledge of spoken and written English (B2 Upper Intermediate minimum)

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
