Design Engineer (Japanese-English Bilingual)

Torrance, CA | Full-Time | $40,000$45,000/year (Bonus not included)

About the Role

Join a warm, close-knit team in a fast-growing industry! Were looking for a bilingual (Japanese-English) Design Engineer to support technical documentation, liaise with clients and factories, and grow alongside the business.

This is a great opportunity for recent high school or university graduates - no prior experience needed. We'll train you thoroughly from day one!

Job Responsibilities

  • Review engineering drawings and documents received from clients
  • Create internal technical documents and drawings
  • Coordinate specifications with Japanese factories
  • Communicate with clients and adjust technical requirements as needed

Work Hours

  • Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day
  • Flex-time: start ±2 hours from standard time
  • Hybrid work available (approx. 40% in-office, subject to change)

Qualifications

  • Valid U.S. work authorization (OPT welcome!)
  • Business-level English required
  • Japanese proficiency preferred
  • Passion for learning and growth

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $40,000$45,000 annually (negotiable, excluding bonuses)
  • 3 annual bonuses
  • Annual raise (higher rate in 2nd and 3rd year)
  • Health insurance, 401(k), commuting support
  • 20 days PTO (includes sick leave, with buyback option)
  • 10 days of workation per year
  • Career advancement opportunities based on performance
  • Option to relocate to Japan after 5 years, if desired
