The posting

Huron helps its clients drive growth, enhance performance and sustain leadership in the markets they serve. We collaborate with education organizations to develop strategies and implement solutions that enable the transformative change our clients need to own their future. Together, we empower clients to drive innovation, create sustainable funding streams and deliver better student outcomes.

Today, leaders of higher education institutions and academic medical centers are spending too much time reacting to market forces, rather than focusing on the essential priorities that help students, faculty and staff thrive. The most productive path forward requires an intentional approach and innovative thinking, whereby stakeholders across the entire institution rally around a shared vision and embrace the hard work of effecting change.

You’ll help our clients to achieve organizational effectiveness, improve student outcomes, implement new technologies and align resources and investments to ensure long-term sustainability.

Join our team as the expert you are now and create your future.

The Platform Analyst is a technically capable and client-aware contributor responsible for maintaining and enhancing the reporting tools, data visualizations and client-facing deliverables that define the quality of our Managed Services output.

This role owns the day-to-day health of our Power BI environment and client reporting infrastructure, while also playing a meaningful role in building technical capability across the broader team through our Tech Committee.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, communicates clearly with both internal stakeholders and clients and is motivated by turning data into actionable insight.

Key Responsibilities • Own the maintenance, version control, and continuous improvement of internal Power BI reports and dashboards used to monitor performance across client portfolios. • Develop, maintain, and iterate on client-facing reporting functionality, ensuring outputs are accurate, timely, visually clear, and aligned to client reporting requirements. • Serve as the primary point of contact for routine reporting questions from internal team members and clients, triaging issues and coordinating fixes with the DevOps Platform Engineer as needed. • Support the Tech Committee by developing and delivering technical skill-building content, facilitating learning sessions, and helping committee members grow competency in relevant tools and platforms (Power BI, ADO, AI tools, etc.). • Document reporting logic, data definitions, and dashboard standards to ensure consistency and enable knowledge transfer across the team. • Assist the DevOps Platform Engineer with testing and QA on platform changes that affect reporting data flows or client-facing outputs. • Identify opportunities to automate or streamline manual reporting processes and bring recommendations to the team with supporting analysis.

Required Qualifications • 3–5 years of experience in a business analyst, data analyst, or platform/reporting role within a technology forward organization. • Proficiency in Power BI, including report and dashboard development, DAX fundamentals, data model management, and workspace administration. • Experience developing and maintaining client-facing reports or deliverables, with a strong sense of data accuracy and presentation quality. • Experience working with structured data from multiple sources (Excel, SharePoint, SQL, APIs) and understanding of basic ETL concepts. • Strong communication skills — able to explain technical outputs clearly to non-technical audiences, both in writing and in conversation. • Experience collaborating in a cross-functional team environment, including working with senior engineers and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications • Experience in a Managed Services, consulting, or multi-client delivery environment. • Familiarity with Azure DevOps for task and project tracking. • Exposure to Microsoft Fabric, Dataflows Gen2, or Power Query for data transformation. • Prior experience facilitating training sessions, lunch-and-learns, or technical enablement activities. • Familiarity with AI tools (Claude, Copilot, ChatGPT) as productivity aids within a professional workflow. • Microsoft Power BI certification (PL-300) or equivalent. Success Indicators — First 90 Days • Full inventory of existing Power BI reports is documented, with known issues triaged and a remediation backlog established. • Client-facing reporting outputs are reviewed for accuracy and a quality checklist or release process is proposed. • First Tech Committee learning session is planned and delivered, with attendee feedback collected. • At least one reporting process is identified for automation or simplification, with a proposal presented to the team.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
