The posting

A kitchen utility worker is a vital support staff member responsible for maintaining cleanliness, organization, and assisting with basic food preparation in a kitchen.

Role Overview

A kitchen utility worker plays a fundamental role in the smooth operation of kitchens in restaurants, catering services, and institutional food settings. While they may not be directly involved in cooking, they are essential for maintaining a safe, sanitary, and efficient kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sanitation and Cleaning: Operate dishwashing machines and wash dishes, utensils, pots, and pans by hand when necessary. Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, floors, walls, countertops, and equipment such as ovens, grills, fryers, and refrigerators to meet health and safety standards.
  • Food Preparation Support: Assist chefs and cooks with basic tasks like washing, peeling, chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients, or assembling simple dishes.
  • Inventory and Stock Management: Monitor kitchen supplies, including food items, utensils, and cleaning materials, restock as needed, and notify supervisors when items are low.
  • Waste Management: Sort, dispose of, and transport trash, recycling, and compost to designated areas, ensuring a clean and safe workspace.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Clean and maintain kitchen tools and equipment, ensuring they are ready for use and comply with sanitation standards.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
