Treasury Manager

Corporate — Finance & Accounting

As the Treasury Manager with HVMG, you'll play a critical role in managing cash management, banking, and treasury operations for the management company and all hotel properties — ensuring adequate liquidity, accurate cash positioning, and strong banking relationships across our portfolio.

If you're a detail-oriented, relationship-driven finance professional who thrives on solving problems and strengthening controls, this role offers the opportunity to be a trusted partner to hotels, ownership groups, and HVMG's senior finance leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage all banking relationships on behalf of the management company and hotels, serving as the primary point of contact for bank representatives.
  • Direct the opening and closing of bank accounts across the hotel portfolio and corporate office.
  • Approve and execute wires using various treasury management systems, ensuring appropriate controls and authorization levels are followed.
  • Oversee weekly cash positions for each hotel to understand current liquidity; proactively identify cash needs and coordinate funding with Regional Controllers.
  • Lead the opening and closing of merchant IDs and set up users for payment processing systems.
  • Manage the escheatment/unclaimed property process for corporate accounts payable accounts, ensuring compliance with state requirements.
  • Research outstanding checks and process voids and stop payments.
  • Oversee annual 1099 reporting and filing for the management company.
  • Process and reconcile miscellaneous deposits for the management company.
  • Coordinate and prepare information from all properties for policy renewals and audits; prepare special reports as requested by insurers or properties.
  • Manage the issuance of certificates of insurance as requested by properties, lenders, and investors.
  • Support month-end closing activities related to treasury and cash accounts for the management company.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen cash controls and treasury operations.
  • Problem-solve banking and treasury issues as they arise.
  • Support the Corporate Director of Finance, SVP of Accounting and Finance, and CFO as needed.

Specific Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Experience with treasury management systems, Sage Intacct, M3 Profit Sword, Rivur, SharePoint, and similar hospitality/accounting platforms.
  • Strong working knowledge of cash management, banking operations, and treasury controls in a multi-unit business.
  • Working knowledge of basic accounting principles such as accruals, debit/credit, and the matching principle.
  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple bank accounts and properties while meeting established timelines under pressure.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to work directly with banking partners, insurers, lenders, and investors.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals, and to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university, preferably in finance or accounting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, required.
  • 4–6 years of progressive treasury, cash management, or accounting experience.
  • Prior experience managing banking relationships preferred.
  • Hospitality industry experience, either corporate/regional or on-property, preferred.

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Eligible to work in the United States.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, and lift as required — with or without reasonable accommodations.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
