Help Build Europe's Hypersonic Capability

At Hypersonica, we’re redefining what’s possible in European defence technology. We exist to deliver speed, resilience, and technological independence at a pace that sets a new standard. We are a small, elite team working on problems that matter, and solving them fast.

By joining Hypersonica, you’re not stepping into a predefined role. You’re joining a talent dense environment where every individual shapes the direction of the company. Our philosophy is to hire a small number of exceptional people with broad, deep technical capability, strong judgement, and the ability to operate autonomously.

We hire for talent, not rigid boxes. This role represents a business need, but the way it evolves will be shaped by the individual. If you’ve achieved what others said was impossible, or you bring a unique combination of skills that doesn’t fit a traditional mould, we want to hear from you. The work you do here directly contributes to Europe’s technological independence.

What you'll do

  • Ensuring a safe, functional, and well-organized technical facility, workshop, and support environment
  • Performing minor maintenance, repair, installation, and upkeep tasks within the building and technical areas
  • Assembling, installing, and modifying workstations, technical equipment, storage solutions, and workshop infrastructure
  • Supporting hands-on equipment set-up, reconfiguration, and internal moves in close coordination with relevant teams
  • Coordinating external service providers and specialist contractors for repairs, maintenance, and technical interventions
  • Monitoring day-to-day implementation of occupational safety measures in office, workshop, and storage areas
  • Supporting the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of risk assessments and safe operating procedures
  • Preparing, updating, and maintaining safety-related documentation, instructions, and operational records
  • Helping ensure compliance with internal safety standards, workplace regulations, and equipment-related requirements
  • Identifying unsafe conditions, initiating corrective actions, and following up on preventive measures
  • Managing technical assets, tools, workshop equipment, and selected infrastructure items across their lifecycle
  • Maintaining clear records of inventory, asset status, storage locations, maintenance intervals, and handovers
  • Planning and executing incoming storage, internal transfers, and structured organization of materials and equipment
  • Coordinating routine inspections, machine servicing, and preventive maintenance activities
  • Supporting spare parts, consumables, and technical stock management to ensure operational readiness
  • Supporting and coordinating internal equipment briefings, safety-related onboarding, and recurring practical trainings
  • Serving as a point of contact for technical and infrastructure-related matters in day-to-day operations
  • Driving practical improvements in workshop organization, storage systems, asset transparency, and maintenance routines
  • Contributing to the standardization of technical processes, documentation, and operational workflows

Who you are

  • Completed apprenticeship or training in a technical trade, facility-related discipline, mechatronics, workshop operations, or a comparable field
  • Several years of practical experience in technical facility management, workshop operations, maintenance, or a hands-on industrial environment
  • Good understanding of occupational safety, risk assessments, and practical implementation of safe working methods
  • Experience with equipment set-up, asset handling, storage organization, and coordination of maintenance activities
  • Strong hands-on mentality with the ability to solve problems pragmatically and independently
  • Structured and reliable work style with a high sense of responsibility and ownership
  • Confident communicator who works well across teams and can coordinate internal stakeholders and external service providers

What we offer

  • A mission driven environment with the opportunity to work on one of Europe’s most consequential defence challenges, with direct impact on sovereign capability and security.
  • Daily collaboration with top experts across engineering, operations, and defence, with real opportunity to learn from the best, contribute, and grow.
  • High ownership and autonomy; no time tracking, no micromanagement, just clear objectives and accountability for outcomes.
  • A fast paced environment where good ideas are implemented quickly, and feedback from test and flight drives real decisions.
  • A culture that values clarity, integrity, and excellence, and supports people who take initiative and push boundaries responsibly.

Security and Eligibility Requirement

At Hypersonica, every hire raises the bar. We are deliberately small, intensely capable, and deeply mission-driven. If this role feels like a strong fit, or if you believe you bring something exceptional that goes beyond the description, we encourage you to apply.

Hypersonica is an equal-opportunity employer and assesses candidates solely on merit, capability, and potential.

You can apply directly to this role or reach out to Nathan Sweeney, Head of Talent. We review every application and aim to respond to all candidates within two weeks, whether the answer is yes or no.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
