For more information about i-80 Gold please visit our website: www.i80gold.com POSITION: COORDINATOR, COMMUNITY RELATIONS – HUMBOLDT AND LANDER COUNTIES i-80 Gold Corp. is seeking an organized and relationship-focused Community Relations Coordinator to deliver local programs and strengthen connections among our employees, operations, and stakeholders throughout Humboldt and Lander counties. Reporting to the Director, Community Engagement & Development, this position supports implementation of i-80 Gold’s Community Development and Stakeholder Engagement Strategy through local outreach, event delivery, stakeholder engagement tracking, community investment administration, employee participation, and timely follow-up. As part of the External Affairs & Sustainability team, the Coordinator will partner with site teams at Lone Tree, Granite Creek, and McCoy-Cove to coordinate outreach and maintain an active presence in surrounding communities. Success in this role will be measured by strong program execution, accurate and timely administration, meaningful employee and community participation, effective events and outreach, and positive relationships between i-80 Gold and the communities where we operate. LOCATION: This position will be based at either the Lone Tree Mine near Valmy, NV or the Granite Creek Mine near Golconda, NV. Regional travel to mine sites and community events throughout Northern Nevada is required, including occasional evening and weekend activities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Community Engagement and Events
Build and maintain relationships with community partners and represent i-80 Gold at meetings, events, expos, and local initiatives throughout Humboldt and Lander counties. Coordinate community events, mine tours, school outreach, volunteer activities, donation drives, and other engagement opportunities. Document community feedback, commitments, activities, and follow-up in the Company’s stakeholder engagement platform.
Programs and Administration
Support Grants for Good, sponsorships, scholarships, and employee volunteer programs by organizing applications, maintaining records, submitting purchase order requests, and tracking approvals and payments. Fulfill sponsorship and event commitments by submitting logos and advertisements, coordinating attendance and table assignments, and managing branded merchandise, displays, and outreach materials. Maintain community calendars and program files and collect stories, photographs, participation data, and results for newsletters, social media, presentations, and reporting.
Internal Engagement & Culture
Support Operations teams in building employee participation in community programs, volunteer opportunities, and local events. Attend site safety meetings and employee forums to share Community Relations and External Affairs updates, helping employees become informed advocates who build trust and support i-80 Gold’s goal of being a community partner of choice. Build collaborative relationships with employees, contractors, Operations, Human Resources, Health and Safety, Environmental, and the External Affairs & Sustainability team to promote i-80 Gold’s values and strengthen a shared commitment to responsible community engagement.
QUALIFICATIONS:
One to three years of administrative, event coordination, community outreach, or related experience. Relevant internship, volunteer, or community involvement may be considered. Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on commitments. Experience working with community partners, such as local governments, chambers of commerce, schools, nonprofit organizations, or Tribal communities, is preferred. Knowledge of the mining industry and familiarity with Humboldt and Lander counties or other rural Nevada communities is preferred. Experience with stakeholder tracking systems, community investment programs, purchase orders, or employee volunteer programs is an asset. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regularly.
