Madridin-instituutti on yksi Suomen seitsemästätoista ulkomailla toimivasta kulttuuri- ja tiedeinstituuteista. Instituutin toiminta-alueena on koko yli 700 miljoonan asukkaan espanjan- ja portugalinkielinen maailma, erityisesti Pyreneiden niemimaa ja Latinalainen Amerikka. Instituutin tavoitteena on tehdä tunnetuksi suomalaista kulttuuria sekä edistää Suomen ja toiminta-alueen maiden välistä vuorovaikutusta kulttuurin, taiteen, tieteen ja talouden aloilla. Toiminnan painopiste on Espanjassa, mutta instituutilla on toimintaa myös Latinalaisessa Amerikassa ja Portugalissa ja se on mukana alueen maiden Team Finland -verkostossa. Suomen Madridin-instituuttia ylläpitää Iberialais-amerikkalainen säätiö.Suomen Madridin-instituutin johtajaksiIberialais-amerikkalainen säätiö hakee johtajaa Suomen Madridin-instituuttiin 1.3.2027 alkaen tai sopimuksen mukaan. Johtajan toimikausi on kolme vuotta ja sitä voidaan jatkaa erillisellä sopimuksella enintään kahdella vuodella.Johtajalla on kokonaisvastuu instituutin toiminnasta strategisten linjausten mukaisesti, joissa korostetaan moniäänisyyttä, kestävyyttä ja vaikuttavuutta. Johtajan tulee johtaa menestyksekkäästi Madridissa sijaitsevaa instituuttia, sen henkilöstöä sekä instituutin asiahenkilöverkostoa, kehittää aktiivisesti instituutin kulttuuri- ja tiedetoimintaa, rahoituspohjaa ja hallintoa sekä ylläpitää ja luoda yhteyksiä instituutin toiminnan kannalta merkittäviin kulttuurin, taiteen, tieteen ja talouselämän toimijoihin ja viiteryhmiin. Instituutin johtaja tekee aktiivista yhteistyötä alueensa Team Finland -verkostojen kanssa. Johtajan työpaikka on Madridissa, ja hän raportoi säätiön hallitukselle. Tehtävän palkka asettuu välille 4700-5200€, valittavan henkilön osaamisen ja kokemuksen mukaan. Lisäksi tehtävään kuuluu asuntoetu.Johtajalta edellytetään ylempää korkeakoulututkintoa, iberialais-amerikkalaisen maailman kulttuurin tuntemusta, hyvää espanjan ja suomen kielen taitoa, vahvaa kokemusta organisaation johtamisesta ja taloudellisista ja hallinnollisista tehtävistä sekä laajaa kontaktiverkostoa.
