HealthActiv is seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our Digital Transformation & Innovation Department. You will contribute to the development, testing, deployment and continuous improvement of enterprise web applications and internal digital platforms. You will have the opportunity to contribute on AI-powered automation initiatives across pharmaceutical and healthcare operations spanning multiple African regions. If you thrive in a hands-on, innovation-first environment, we want to hear from you.   Key Responsibilities • Develop and maintain enterprise web applications using Angular, TypeScript and NestJS, ensuring scalable, reusable and maintainable solutions. • Design and maintain integration layers between internal applications and enterprise systems such as NetSuite, including REST APIs and backend services. • Design and maintain application-level data models using PostgreSQL, ensuring data integrity, performance, security and appropriate handling of PII. • Analyse business processes and identify opportunities for digitalisation, automation and application enhancements. • Integrate AI APIs and services into internal applications and develop automation workflows to streamline or replace manual business processes.  • Perform functional, integration, regression, API and automated testing to ensure application quality, reliability and stability. • Participate in application deployments and validation across Development, UAT, and Production environments using Git, Docker and CI/CD pipelines. • Monitor applications, troubleshoot technical issues, resolve defects and provide timely technical and end-user support. • Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical documentation, coding standards and development practices. • Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to translate business requirements into practical, scalable technical solutions.   Job Requirements  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related field. • A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in software development. • Exposure to responsive web application development for desktop, tablet and mobile devices, ERP systems (e.g. NetSuite) or system integration is a plus. • Strong interest in full-stack software development and software quality. • Ability to work across both frontend and backend components of an application. • Strong analytical, logical thinking, debugging and problem-solving skills. • Good attention to detail, particularly when developing and testing application features. • Familiarity with Docker and containerised applications. • Experience with, or willingness to learn, NetSuite development and integration (SuiteScript, SuiteQL). • Strong interest in AI, machine learning, LLMs and emerging technologies. • Customer-centric, solution-oriented mindset with excellent problem-solving and communication skills. • High sense of ownership and accountability, with willingness to learn new technologies, tools and development practices.
