AWS Full Stack Developer - SC MOD Required

As an AWS Full Stack Developer, you will work within multidisciplinary teams to design, develop and deliver secure, scalable cloud applications for public sector clients. You will contribute across the full software development lifecycle and collaborate with developers, architects, delivery leads and client stakeholders.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Full Stack Development: Design and develop responsive front-end applications, APIs, back-end services and databases.
• AWS Cloud Development: Build and deploy scalable, resilient applications using AWS cloud services.
• Architecture: Contribute to application and solution architecture, ensuring solutions are secure, maintainable and fit for purpose.
• Security: Implement secure development practices, data protection and appropriate access controls.
• Testing & Quality: Develop automated tests, troubleshoot issues and improve application performance and reliability.
• DevOps: Support CI/CD pipelines, automation, Infrastructure as Code and cloud deployments.
• Collaboration: Work with technical teams, data specialists and client stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions using Agile and modern engineering practices.
• Public Sector Delivery: Ensure solutions meet relevant security, governance, accessibility and compliance requirements.

• Experience across the full software development lifecycle.
• Strong experience with AWS cloud development and services.
• Proficiency in technologies such as Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, React and/or Node.js.
• Experience developing APIs, databases and cloud-native applications.
• Understanding of AWS architecture, security, IAM and data protection.
• Experience with CI/CD, Git, automated testing and DevOps practices.
• Experience working in Agile, multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills.

Clearance Requirements

This role is subject to pre-employment screening in line with the UK Government’s Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). An additional range of Personal Security Controls referred to as National Security Vetting (NVS) may apply, this could include meeting the eligibility requirements for The Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV).

• Experience across the full software development lifecycle.
• Strong experience with AWS cloud development and services.

• Experience with AWS Lambda, S3, EC2, API Gateway, RDS, DynamoDB, ECS/EKS and CloudWatch.
• Experience with Terraform, AWS CDK or CloudFormation.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as React or Angular.
• Experience working with public sector or highly regulated environments.
• Experience integrating data, analytics or AI capabilities into applications.
