As a Software Developer: Generalist, you will design, develop, test, and deliver offerings using leading-edge and/or proven technologies. You will work in an Agile, collaborative environment to understand stakeholder requirements.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Develop Innovative Solutions: Design, code, and test innovative component-level software solutions, ensuring that the implemented solutions are unit tested and ready to be integrated into their product.

• Contribute to CI/CD Pipeline: Contribute to the automated CI/CD pipeline that takes code through various quality stages.

• Debug Customer Issues: Debug customer-reported problems, designing, developing, and unit testing code fixes.

• Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work in an Agile environment to understand stakeholder requirements and deliver solutions.

• Test and Deliver Offerings: Test and deliver offerings using leading-edge and/or proven technologies.

• Basic Understanding of Programming: Exposure to programming concepts, data structures, and software design patterns.

• Familiarity with Agile Methodologies: Interest in Agile development practices and version control systems.

• Exposure to Testing Frameworks: Basic understanding of testing principles and exposure to testing frameworks.

• Curiosity about Cloud Technologies: Interest in cloud-based technologies and platforms.

• Basic Knowledge of CI/CD Pipelines: Exposure to continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and their role in software development.

• Familiarity with DevOps Tools: Exposure to DevOps tools and practices is beneficial for this role, allowing for smoother collaboration and automation in the software development lifecycle.

• Knowledge of Front-End Development: Basic understanding of front-end development principles and exposure to front-end development frameworks can be advantageous in designing and delivering comprehensive software solutions.

• Understanding of L3 Support Engineering: Interest in L3 support engineering and exposure to debugging techniques can be helpful in resolving complex customer-reported issues.

IBM Bromont est une entreprise de premier plan qui mise grandement sur la qualité de ses employés.

Inaugurée en 1972, l'usine de haute technologie d'IBM située à Bromont fabrique et teste des composants microélectroniques sur lesquels sont montées une ou plusieurs puces, selon différentes techniques d'assemblage et de test. Ces composants sont exportés dans d'autres usines IBM et chez plusieurs clients dans le monde. Dernièrement, elle a produit les processeurs qui entrent dans la fabrication de la plus haute gamme des serveurs IBM, soit les Systèmes P et Z en plus de fabriquer différents modules utilisés dans le cadre de la télécommunication.

Nous sommes situés à 45 minutes de Montréal et Sherbrooke. Étant donné le grand nombre d'employé, il est possible de covoiturer avec d'autres employés à partir de ces villes.

L'équipe des Technologies de l'Information (TI) se compose d'employés dynamiques qui ne cessent d'augmenter leurs compétences techniques et personnelles. L'entraide et l'ambiance de travail font de cet endroit un environnement de travail recherché.

Nous recherchons un administrateur technique polyvalent pour assurer la gestion, l’optimisation et le support des environnements de bases de données et de messagerie/queuing. Le candidat idéal possède une solide expérience en administration DB2 LUW, IBM MQ, Kafka, ainsi qu’une bonne maîtrise des environnements Linux/Unix et des solutions Cloud Pak (CP4I, CP4D). Ce rôle est essentiel pour garantir la performance, la sécurité et la fiabilité des systèmes critiques de l’entreprise.

Responsabilités :

  • Installer, configurer et maintenir les bases de données DB2 LUW , IBM MQ, MQ Pub-Sub, MQTT
  • Optimiser les performances des bases (requêtes, index, structure).
  • Mettre en place des stratégies de sauvegarde/restauration et tester leur efficacité.
  • Mettre en place les infrastructures pour la haute disponibilité (DB2 HADR, MQ Active-Inactive)
  • Gérer les accès, les rôles et la sécurité des données.
  • Surveiller les performances et ajuster les paramètres pour assurer la disponibilité.
  • Documenter les procédures et collaborer avec les équipes de développement.
  • Automatiser les tâches via des scripts (ksh, Python, Perl).

  • Bonne connaissance des environnements Linux/Unix et des outils IBM Cloud Pak.
  • Maîtrise des langages de script : ksh, Java, Python, Perl.
  • Expérience en sécurité des systèmes et des données.
  • Travailler dans un environnement Linux/Unix et Openshift
  • Esprit d’analyse et capacité à résoudre des problèmes complexes.
  • Autonomie et sens de l’initiative.
  • Rigueur dans la documentation et le suivi des procédures.
  • Collaboration avec les équipes TI et métiers.
  • Communication claire, tant à l’oral qu’à l’écrit.
