The posting

Key Responsibilities

  • Process day-to-day Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) transactions accurately to maintain financial records.
  • Verify supplier invoices against supporting documents and secure necessary approvals to ensure payment accuracy.
  • Prepare payment vouchers and initiate online bank payments for approval to facilitate timely disbursements.
  • Review and process staff claims and reimbursements with proper supporting documentation to ensure compliance.
  • Issue customer invoices and credit notes, and record incoming receipts to maintain accurate revenue tracking.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and update bank balances to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Record and maintain accounting transactions accurately in Xero accounting software.
  • Ensure all Xero entries are supported by appropriate invoices, receipts, and relevant documentation for audit readiness.
  • Assist with month-end closing activities, including journal entries and preparation of account schedules.
  • Support intercompany reconciliations and maintain detailed supporting schedules.
  • Assist with audit schedules and provide required supporting documents to facilitate audits.
  • Follow up with suppliers, customers, and internal departments on outstanding finance matters to resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain proper and systematic electronic filing of accounting and finance documents to ensure easy retrieval.
  • Perform other finance-related duties as assigned to support the finance team’s operations.

Preferred Competencies and Qualifications

  • Diploma or equivalent qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles to support accurate financial processing.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office to perform daily tasks efficiently.
  • Experience with Xero accounting software is an advantage; training will be provided.
  • Strong documentation and electronic filing discipline to maintain organized records.
  • Detail-oriented and organized to meet deadlines consistently.
  • Responsible, proactive, and eager to learn to contribute effectively to the team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve department goals.
